The house had everything we needed for a lovely holiday, even on a couple of wet days. The location felt like being in the countryside whilst it is in walking distance of a supermarket, restaurants and cafes and is well connected by road. Parking can be tricky if you have a big car. The kitchen is well equipped and we cooked a massive dinner party one evening which was great fun. Our children really loved the garden which is big and exciting. Always lots of hot water. Got used to the low beams!
Stopped in Le Laurier cottage, right off the beaten track, but 5 mins from the supermarket. Great shower and comfy memory foam mattress. Deer in the forest opposite, great views over the countryside while eating outside. Local restaurants with crepes and galettes being favourites. The nearby medieval town of Fougeres with its castle, and market on a saturday not to be missed. Typical french seaside town of Cancale a seafood lovers paradise, 4 euros 50c for a douzaine huitres, sit on the sea wall
