Pond Cottage is situated within the grounds of Chateau Monfreville.
Chateau de Monfreville comprises family run luxury cottages, vintage gypsy caravans & boutique camping in the grounds of a magical castle, idyllically set in the heart of the Normandy countryside.
The cottage is a large & spacious converted barn which sleeps 8 people comfortably with plenty of extra room for babies in cots. Upstairs the cottage has 2 double bedrooms, one with an en-suite & one twin room. There is also a large family bathroom with a bath, shower, hand basin and loo.
Downstairs is a second twin room with a WC & hand basin leading to a utility room with a washing machine & tumble dryer. The lounge area is a huge beamed open planned room complete with baby grand piano, log burning stove & comfortable sofas. The cottage has lots of games, music and books to choose from along with a DVD player and TV.
The dining room leads off from the lounge area & into a fully equipped kitchen with a full size cooker, microwave, toaster, coffee maker and dishwasher. The dining area has a back door which opens onto a covered terraced area for outdoor dining. Private gardens & a BBQ are all inclusive of Pond Cottage. The cottage is fully double glazed. The rental rates include bed linen, towels and tea towels.
Within the grounds of the chateau, there is a natural swimming pond, a hot tub, a ping pong table, table football and a shop with the essentials. In the summer months, The Bread Fairy is out & about delivering pastries & French bread to your door every morning.
Explore the world war 2 landing beaches and monuments of Omaha & Utah, discover the Bayeux tapestry or visit Mont Saint Michel. Normandy has a rich & colourful history dating back to the Vikings with beautiful villages, towns & gastronomy to delight the senses, this region of France is an exceptional destination.

A booking is made on receipt of a booking form together with a signed copy of ‘Terms & Conditions’ and a deposit payment of half the balance per week For bookings made within 6 weeks of the start date, full payment is required.
The Euro equivalent to be calculated on day of deposit.
The balance is to be paid 6 weeks before commencement of hire.
Cancellation & Refunds Policy:
30 days notice or longer – 90% refunded
15 – 29 days notice – 50% refunded
14 days or less notice – No refund
We suggest you take out insurance to cover this eventuality.
Arrivals: 4pm. Should you arrive before hand, please let us know.
Departures: Please vacate by 11am.
Leader of party agrees the rules of the natural swimming pond and hot tub. We cannot take responsibility for others.
We cannot accept responsibility for your possessions or personal injury whilst staying at Camp Monfreville.
Camp fires are at your own risk. Please take great care. Safety must be adhered to at all times.
