At Loustalot we welcome anyone in need of a break, for whatever reason, and we offer what is right for each guest at that time. Whether you are in need of a peaceful and enriching holiday, a yoga retreat, a healing break, or a mixture of all three, Loustalot is the ideal setting. A beautiful place to be, in the foothills of the Pyrenees but not too far from town, to release, relax and recharge. Tailored holidays and retreats like this are often out of reach for many but we believe this is what everyone needs - we are all so different – and so we keep our prices affordable.

You may need to be in your own space, with time to enjoy the woodland and gardens, a taste of French life and the stunning scenery, or you may need more support. That's why we offer here on site a wealth of wonderful options: yoga, meditation, healing, counselling and energy care. Everything is flexible and the timetable (if there is one) depends entirely on your needs. A break here can be self-catering, if that suits your tastes and budget, and organic vegetarian meals are available if you prefer. Special diets can be catered for.

Nearest airports are Pau, Lourdes and Biarritz but Toulouse and Bordeaux are also a straightforward drive or train ride away.

Accommodation is in The Barn Apartment.

You will have exclusive use of the barn, a lovely converted stone and timber space dating from the turn of the 19th century.  There is a light central living space with vaulted ceilings, original beams and stonework and a wood-burner for the cooler months.  It has a fully fitted kitchen and eating area.  There are two bedrooms, both ensuite, a large double with shower-room and a smaller twin with good-sized bathroom.  You have your own balcony and garden area with access to three hectares of garden and woodland.   You will find everything ready for you in the banr, from your towels and linen to starter supplies.

The apartment is secluded and private with plenty of green space all around.  The woodlands and stream are yours to enjoy and the splendid views of the Pyrenees from the lane are breathtaking.  There is loads of space for children to let off steam with a trampoline and table tennis.
You also have access to the beautiful yoga and meditation room situated in a neighbouring barn if wished and it is possible to have yoga classes and other instruction and treatments on site if you are interested.

If you are are coming on a healing or yoga break or retreat then we will happily shop for your provisions for a small supplement and if you would like to have vegetarian lunch and supper then please speak with us at the time of booking.

For retreats we normally welcome one booking at a time so that guests can be assured of peace and seclusion if they wish but loving service and professional support when the need arises. Have a look at the website to get more of a feel for the place and email us or call us if we can help in any way.  The breaks are very flexible in terms of structure and length. They usually run for a minimum of 3-4 nights, up to several weeks. We will discuss your individual needs and preferences when arranging your break or retreat.

The environment here is healing in itself but you can choose also to receive Healing to enhance the healing process. Alternatively or as well as this, you can learn Hatha Yoga, Energy Care, Pure Meditative Peace and Pure Meditation. All sessions are given personally by Jacqueline or Anthony.Any sessions you have and any other planned visits will be timetabled into your stay. The rest of your time will be your own to enjoy the surroundings, walk in the woods, wander up the lane to enjoy the mountains and vineyards, read, relax and nourish yourself on all levels.
