Stunningly Renovated Home With Private Pool between St Antonin, Gaillac and Albi - La Maison Orange

Luxury Gite located in a very tranquil hamlet one kilometre from the village of Vaour in the heart of Bastide country. Situated between St Antonin, Gaillac and Albi. The bustling market town of St Antonin Noble Val is six kilometres away with its great selection of quaint bars and restaurants.

La Maison Orange has been lovingly created with a touch of Middle Eastern promise. We have furnished the house with decorative items from our travels in the Arab world.

The house comprises two bedrooms (one double and one twin). Each bedroom features solid mango wood furniture with wardrobes and chest of drawers.
The double room has an ensuite bathroom with a walk in shower and there is additionally a family bathroom with P shaped bath and shower enclosure.

Downstairs the large, well equipped kitchen features painted wooden units with solid oak worktops and a butler sink. There is an integral washing machine and dishwasher. An American fridge/freezer with a chilled water/ice dispenser is also present.

There is a downstairs cloakroom with WC and washbasin.

The beamed dining room has a large table with comfortable seating for 6, there is a log burner for winter use.

The lounge has 2 settees with stunning views across to the forest. There is a television with English satellite channels and a DVD player.

Outside is a 6.5 metre by 4.5 metre octagonal pool for your exclusive use. The pool has internal lighting for night time use.

A large flag stoned patio area surrounds the pool with illuminated planters and wall lighting for the night time.

There is a covered loggia to provide outside shade on hot days and also to provide rain cover for the barbeque in case of inclement weather. The loggia is also equipped with radiant heaters for the chiller evenings.

The patio is furnished with sun loungers and a dining table and chairs along with a Weber barbeque.
There is also a full sized table tennis table for your enjoyment.

Maison Orange and Maison Bleue are located next door to each other. Each house has total seclusion from the other with separate pools and private open spaces. It is however possible, subject to availability, possible to rent both houses simultaneously. In this way we can cater for parties of up to 8 people. This is particularly beneficial to two families holidaying together who still appreciate their own space.

The Area:
Les Hirondelles offers easy access for exploring many of the beautiful Bastide villages typical of the region such as Castelnau, Cordes, Penne and Bruniquel. For the more adventurous, the nearby pituresque town of St. Antonin Noble Val is dramatically situated at the foot of sheer limestone cliffs lying in the gorge of the river Aveyron. Activities on offer here include kayaking down the Aveyron taking in the splendid views at a more leisurely pace, while rock-climbing should appeal to those who are looking for more of a challenge! St. Antonin Noble Val is also well known for its' fabulous Sunday morning market, make sure you get there early, where all the local produce can be bought & sampled or the sights can be absorbed from the comfort of many a waiting restaurant. Closer to home, Vaour - the local village to Les Hirondelles, benefits from a small restaurant, bar and garage as well as a shop selling the day's freshly baked bread and croissants. For those bigger shops St. Antonin Noble Val and Gaillac offer well-stocked supermarkets, with the additional benefit that a trip to Gaillac takes you past many of the local wine producers of the Gaillac region. Gaillac also offers several fine restaurants in which to dine. Les Hirondelles offers easy access to walkers with several beautiful walks nearby, but for those with a car the regional capital of Albi is closeby and the city of Toulouse can be easily reached for a day-trip.
