Stunning Dordogne Holiday House in La Roque Gageac, France - La Malartrie Reviews

The owner was a wonderfully attentive person, who even left us a nice card and bottle of wine, along with a list of great suggestions of activities. The property is beautiful and quiet, overlooking the river, and a 5 minute walk to the picture perfect town of La Roque Gageac. We did some lovely hikes through the woods to castles, and paddled down the Dordogne to Baynac. Food and wine in the area is of course great! We would highly recommend this property, and will dream of the wonderful roof and patio decks, with their stunning views. John and Julie, Surrey, Canada

A bit hairy to find, but couldn't be in a better spot. Fabulous view of La Roque and the valley. Meals on either patio offer a panorama of Dordogne. Better than being in the village proper! Parking was not an issue for us, being there off season, but may be a factor. David and Lorna are wonderful hosts, full of local insight and willing to help.
