Domaine de Pouroutounat is comprised of three buildings, plus a "ruin". The owners' 4 bedroomed home is on the west end of the property. Adjacent to that is the 6 bedroom Farmhouse, and on the east end of the property is the Grange Pierre, a three bedroom property. In high season the Farmhouse and the Grange Pierre are rented as one property, aimed at larger groups. In the shoulder and low season, each property is available to rent individually.
The Farmhouse
The Farmhouse is the largest building on the property. It has a large kitchen at the front (picture above), with double doors leading on to a large patio with parasols and dining tables for up to 16 adults. It also has a large sitting and dining room, with a conservatory to the rear overlooking the extensive grounds. There is a WC on the ground floor. The building ranges over three floors - the first floor has two double bedrooms and a twin room, with one en-suite shower room, a full bathroom (with shower) and a separate WC. On the second floor is a further double bedroom and a king size bedroom and one single room. This floor has an ensuite bathroom plus another shower room with WC. Four of the double bedrooms are suitable for adding a cot or an extra single bed. On the ground floor there is also a laundry room.
Grange Pierre
Grange Pierre means Stone Barn in French - but it also stands as a tribute to Peter, one of the previous owners who put so much effort into the stunning renovation of this building. Enter the Grange on the ground floor where an entrance hall leads to a laundry room. The wooden staircase rises to the first floor (note, it's a little steep). The accomodation is all on the first floor. A spacious kitchen / dining room / living room provides all the facilities you could want, and has two lovely sunny windows overlooking the meadow. There is a double bedroom, a king size bedroom with full ensuite bathroom and shower and WC, and a large twin bedroom. There is a second shower room with WC off the lounge. There are exposed stone walls throughout.
Facilities
Both properties are furnished to a very high standard. You will find a mix of new and antique furniture, with quality cotton bed-linen and towels throughout (the towels provided are for indoor use only). Each house has plenty of space for large parties to spread out, and if you prefer the fresh air, there are over 3 acres of gardens to explore.
The kitchens are fully equipped with range cookers, large refrigerators, coffee makers, toasters, kettles, micro-wave cookers and plenty of quality kitchenware and tableware - and lots of wine glasses! And to help the evening entertainment, each property has a bluetooth speaker, as well as TVs and DVD players.
The pool-house is similarly well equipped, with tables, chairs, cushions and a bluetooth speaker, as well as two fridges to chill the evening drinks. Plastic glasses are provided for use in the pool area. Please note, pool towels are not provided, so please bring your own pool towels.
