Fajou offers spacious family accommodation in a peaceful country setting for up to 10 people in 5 bedrooms, with one bedroom ensuite.
Off road parking is available immediately by the house: The road past the house is a quiet country lane with very little traffic.

Off the Entrance Hall is the large comfortable Sitting/Dining room with comfortable seating, open fireplace and large dining table. With large windows enjoying the superb northerly view, the room is a very pleasant light and airy space, and being north facing will remain reasonably comfortable in the hottest weather. For the cooler months it is a great gathering space with the vista of the Lot valley to admire.
A well equipped fitted kitchen contains all that a good sized family needs during their stay with gas hob and electric oven, Fridge freezer and microwave oven.
There are two bedrooms on the Ground floor, accessed without steps. One spacious double with glazed door opening onto the balcony outside, and the other with an en suite shower room. Also on this level is a family bathroom with bath
Stairs go up from the Sitting area to an open mezzanine sitting area with windows taking in the full view of the Lot vale.
Off this are a further double bedroom which enjoys the view. The final two bedrooms, a double and a twin, with a shower room are set up as a separate suite, also accessed from the mezzanine sitting area.
OUTSIDE .
A terrace with railings runs along the front and side of the property making the most of the spectacular country view to the north and west with spectacular midsummer sunsets very much a feature at Fajou.
A small jacuzzi is located on the balcony so guests can truly relax and enjoy the view, or the night sky with no street lighting near. A charcoal barbecue is available for al fresco cooking.
The terrace overlooks to 8 x 4m pool, which is partly raised above ground, making it a very socialble space, and this is surrounded by a pleasant lawned area for guests to enjoy games and other recreation.

Fajou is on a tiny country road between the villages of Penne d'Agenais and Dausse Both have a selection of shops and restaurants, with a large supermarket just over the river bridge at Penne d'Agenais.
Penne d'Agenais has a hilltop fortress with the Basilica of Notre-Dame de Peyragude's silver dome seen twinkling in the sunlight for many miles on a bright day. The original fortress was built by Richard I of England (Richard the Lionheart) who spent much of his life in this area.
Overlooking the river Lot and 'Port de Penne' there is plenty to see and do here, with river trips in season with cafés and restaurants on its traffic free streets.
Across the river is St Sylvestre, home to surely one of the most imaginative buildings you will ever come across. Chateau Le Stelsia is owned by the owner of a major French retail chain, and in an immaculately kept space which is free to roam around there are many quirky and interesting features. A range of attractions, including excellent restaurants are also found here.
Fajou is on the plain of the river Lot, and the Lot Valley véloroute (cycle path) passes nearby: This runs eastwards following the river closely towards Fumel and the meandering section of the river around Prayssac and onwards to Cahors or westwards towards Aiguillon where it meets the Garonne canal cycle path offering miles of cycling along level quiet roads or dedicated cycle trails.
North of the river Lot is castle country, with Bonaguil. Biron and Gauvadun the major attraction among others. An autumn drive through the chestnut woods of the Bouriane and southern Périgord towards the Dordogne makes an excellent day out if visits to Périgordine towns such as Sarlat and Domme are included.
Vine growing on the vale of the river Lot starts near Penne d'Agenais, and there are a large number of wineries as you head east towards Cahors. Many offer on site tasting and purchase at very reasonable rates, or several producers will be found at weekly markets held somewhere every day throughout the area. These markets also feature a wide variety of produce, and of particular note are the Friday market at Prayssac, renowned for its quality foods and Montsempron Libos on Thursdays where you can buy just about anything on this large widespread street market.
