We share our lives between the UK and this sunny and special corner of France and we have created 2 lovely holiday apartments so that we can share our experiences with you. When we first arrived in the Gard in 2003, we were overwhelmed by the variety the area has to offer. Here we can indulge our love of food and wine with the fabulous gastronomic restaurants, the fresh market produce and endless wine domaines. We can sail on the Med, walk in the Cevennes, cycle around the vineyards and visit the pretty historic villages or the rich cultural sites close by, such as Nimes, Uzès, Le Pont du Gard, Avignon, Montpellier and Arles.
The apartments occupy an elevated position in the heart of Vézénobres, a unique medieval village perched on a hillside which is credited with being a 'Village de Caractère' and 'Un des Plus Beaux Villages du Gard' and it is difficult not to instantly fall in love with the place. It is an ideal pied à terre for exploring the Côtes du Rhône and Provence to the East, Montpellier, the Cevennes mountains and luscious Pic Saint Loup wine region to the West, the beaches of the Med and the Camargue to the South and the beautiful Ardeche to the North.
There can be fewer places which allow the visitor the chance to absorb the french lifestyle in such a fabulous location.
The property which houses the two apartments is a real 'coup de coeur'. A stunning 3 storey stone house close to the village centre, a short stroll away from the square with fabulous restaurants and a lively bar/bistro.
The house occupies an elevated position in the village and an open south-facing aspect, offering unrivalled views of the surrounding countryside. A walk to the top of the village brings you to the Table D'Orientation, where on a clear day there are panoramic views stretching over 100km, with the Mediterranean to the south, the Cevennes to the west and Mont Ventoux in Provence to the east.
The two spacious apartments 'L'Hirondelle' (1 bedroom/1 bathroom for 2 people) and 'Les Figuiers' (2 bedrooms/2 bathrooms for 2-4 people) retain all the character of an older stone property, whilst offering comfortable and well-equipped accommodation in a perfect location to explore all the area has to offer.
There are stunning views from each apartment and the shared splash pool and rear terrace (and the private balcony in L'Hirondelle) are ideal for cooling off and putting your feet up with a nice glass of chilled rosé!
The property has excellent reviews and attracts guests back time after time.
Les Figiuers is a large 2 bedroom apartment situated on the middle floor of the property. Well presented in a style reflecting the nature of its location.
Kitchen/living/dining room - the front living area which has stunning views of the surrounding countryside from its shuttered windows, has comfortable seating, a dining table and chairs, TV/DVD and excellent wifi connection and an open plan kitchen with electric hob (4 rings), oven, combination microwave and fridge.
Bedroom one - with double bed and en-suite shower, wash basin and wc.
Bedroom two - with twin beds which may be converted into a king-size bed
Bathroom - large room with bath/shower, large granite washbasin and a washing machine.

There is access to the shared rear terrace with splash pool and outdoor dining table and chairs, where you can relax and soak up the atmosphere of the medieval village over a relaxing glass of chilled wine! Here there is also a barbecue and sun loungers. (The splash pool is shared with 1 other apartment for 2 people).
