Ideally located 750 metres above sea level, in a wide glacial valley with a flat bottom, on the banks of the Giffre and at the foot of the majestic Criou, Samoêns is an endearing village, which owes its charm as much to the beauty of the site as to the authenticity of its architectural heritage.
Close to Lake Geneva, Geneva and Switzerland, but also Italy, it is an ideal place for holidays combining mountain sports and tourism.
The only winter sports resort to be classified "City of Art and History" by the National Fund of Historical Monuments, this town in Haute Savoie has also been awarded a "Coq d'Or" which goes to the most beautiful villages in France.
Directly connected to the Grand Massif ski area by cable car in 8 minutes, Samoëns offers 265 km of slopes and more than 30 km of Nordic ski trail.
In summer there are numerous hiking opportunities, especially in the Sixt Fer à Cheval Nature Reserve.
The Grand Massif ski area, created from connection of the slopes of Samoëns, Morillon, Sixt-Fer à Cheval, Les Carroz d'Araches and Flaine, covers 40,000 hectares.
Located in Haute Savoie near Geneva and Chamonix, it is the 3rd ski area of the French Alps.
Due to its location it enjoys exceptional snow conditions, especially in the spring.
The upper part of the ski area offers an unforgettable view of the Mont-Blanc range (Aiguille du Midi, Les Drus, Aiguille Verte ...).
Four points deserve special mention:
• La Piste Marvel: Green piste located at Morillon which offers beginners 5 km of descent through hundred-year-old firs,
• La Piste des Cascades: 14 km blue piste starting at Col de Platé in Flaine and ending in Sixt,
• La Combe de Gers: ungroomed black piste with 800 vertical drop. A treat after a good snowfall.
• The 3 Jam-Parks in the area to satisfy fans of FreeStyle ski or snowboard.

does not include the tourist tax (collected by the municipality) to be paid upon the delivery of the keys: 0,60 € per day and per person over 16 years.
SEASONS AND DURATION OF STAYS .
In the periods of medium, high and very high season, the rentals are for at least 7 nights and take place from Saturday to Saturday, or from Sunday to Sunday.
In low-season periods (January, April, spring and autumn), the rental is open for short stays (minimum 3 nights). Guests may enter and depart on all 7 days of the week.
In the ski season, the booking of a short stay across two weeks is only possible in the previous month.

CANCELLATION AND REFUND
The amount paid for the reservation is qualified as a deposit, the commitment is considered final. The balance is due.
Cancellation less than 60 days before date of arrival > 100% refund of deposit ,
Cancellation between 60 and 30 days prior to arrival > 50% refund of deposit,
Cancellation less than 30 days prior to arrival and after payment of the balance: no refund.
COVID-19 PANDEMIC.
In the event of exit restrictions and/or travel imposed by the public authorities, the deposit and the balance – if it has already been paid – will be repaid in full or if the customer wishes it would be postponed for a later reservation to be agreed according to the sanitary situation and our availability.
