Spacious Country Cottage with Heated Swimming Pool in Mache, Vendee - La Petite

Our charming property is located in the sunny Western Vendee, set in over 20,000 m/sq of established gardens, and paddocks. We have 2 comfortable, spacious gites, a heated swimming pool with a large sun terrace and beautiful gardens. The high aspect has sweeping views over the farmer's fields and woodlands, yet we are only 25 minutes from the glorious, wide, sandy beaches of the Atlantic coast.

This unique location provides a convenient base from which to explore the local area and a peaceful place in which to relax, upon your return.

La Petite Guyonniere offers quality, self catering holidays in France that will not disappoint. We are only 24km from wide sandy beaches, picturesque villages and only an hour from Puy du Fou Theme Park.

La Petite - This gite is spacious and comfortable and sleeps up to 4, in two bedrooms. The layout, whilst typically French, is practical as all rooms are on the ground floor, with only one step between each area.
As you drive in through the main gate Le Petiti Bouleau is directly ahead. The front door leads into the comfortable lounge/dining room. This room is equipped with a sofa and two chairs, Freeview TV with DVD player, dining table and chairs and occasional tables. From the louge, there is a fully equipped kitchen, with a breakfast bar, which leads out onto the private terrace. Here you will find a stone B-B-Q, wooden patio furniture and a large parasol.
The Kitchen really is the "hub" of this cotage as all rooms lead-off from it. Having walked from the lounge/diner into the kitchen, the first room on the left is the utility room, which then leads to the shower/WC room.
At the front of the cottage, immediately on the right, is the twin bedroom. This has two single beds, a wardrobe, a chest-of-drawers and a sofa. Next on the right, at the rear, is the main bedroom, comprising a double bed, a wardrobe, a chest-of-drawers and bedside tables. The window looks out over our beautiful gardens, and all the windows are fitted with a fly-screen.

Changeover days in June, July, and August are on Saturdays. At other times they are flexible but you will need to contact us to make arrangements.

A short walk (50 m) takes you to our heated swimming pool, where you will find a large sun terrace with plenty of loungers and seating. Although set to the north of the main buildings, it is far enough away that it catches the sun thoughout the day.

Security and safety are paramount, so the area is fanced with padlocked gates, and we don't allow unaccompanied minors in the pool area at any time. There is an alarm that will activate if the pool is enteredwithout the deactivation code being set. The pool is ideal for children as the bottom slopes gently from just under 1m at the shallow end to just under 2 m at the deep end. We keep the temperature at a very pleasant 28/29 degrees.
