Our services and facilities, dedicated to families and children, will delight and entertain everyone.

At La Mare Chappey Cottages & Gites, the charm and character of 16th Century Normandy medieval estates were created from an ancient farm building.

Whilst they retain the traditions of by-gone Normandy, with their thick stone walls, elegant slate roofs and original oak beams, they combine the very best of ancient and modern living a mixture of contemporary and traditional furnishing.

Designed and renovated specifically for the discerning holidaymaker, the cottages offer supreme comfort within an extremely child friendly relaxing and historic environment.

Our belief is that families need more space on holiday, not less. Thus our cottages have been designed with ultimate space in mind, creating an environment of peace and relaxation for all the family with space to breathe.

Whilst retaining the character of the 16th Century, we have also made sure that each cottage has as much of the convenience and luxury of modern day living as is possible –  king sized beds, crisp Bedecks linen, microwaves, dishwashers, iPod, iPad docks and Wi-Fi……..to name a few.

For families, and especially for parents of babies and toddlers, we can provide almost everything that you may need, to save you packing it all up and bringing from home. Full sized cots, travel cots, high-chairs, bed-guards, potties, step-ups, sterilizers, black-out blinds (the list is endless!).

What you will not find, are the stresses and strains of everyday life – these just melt away as you relax into the La Mare Chappey Experience.

The 5 acres of shared grounds include landscaped lawn, outdoor and indoor play areas, as well as superb leisure facilities for the whole family.

GRANGE COTTAGE - SLEEPS 6.

The Grange characterises La Mare Chappey estate and the tranquillity of the surrounding countryside. The cottage was created from an ancient farm building. Whilst it retains the traditions of by-gone Normandy, with its thick stone walls, elegant slate roof and oak beams, with polished solid pine floors, it combines the very best of ancient and modern living.

No expense has been spared to provide luxurious family self catering accommodation with three generously-sized bedrooms (one double, one twin and one children's room with bunk beds); a huge and comfortably furnished lounge area with two large sofas with a flat screen television with UK channels & dvd player, a music centre, iPod & iPad docking station and toy box full toys, books & jigsaws keep them entertained and a host of games for those family nights at home.

As with everything at La Mare Chappey, it has been designed to be “child friendly” and safe, with a secure patio area - so no little escapes!

A well-appointed kitchen, featuring a dish-washer, microwave, toaster, coffee-maker, cooker, large fridge-freezer and all the pots, pans, crockery and utensils which make meal preparation a pleasure. Adjacent to the kitchen is a well-planned dining area for those leisurely home-made feasts.

The Master Bedroom, with its large with most majestic ceiling with exposed oak beams and delightful expose stone wall and inviting double bed - is generously sized with oak beams complementing the soft cream and pale green colour scheme. Black-out blinds so you can sleep that little bit longer!

Whilst the chic blush room, with its stylish decoration, is furnished with two comfortable single beds. Both are equipped with more than adequate storage, drawer and hanging space. Black-out blinds so they sleep that little bit longer!

Meanwhile, La Mer Bedroom has been designed as an adventure for the little ones... In bright seaside colours, the room has modern bunk beds and a fun cupboard system which will encourage even the untidiest of youngsters to clear up after themselves! The ultra-modern family bathroom features a hydropower shower which has proved to be a particular favourite amongst recent guests.

The Grange has been beautifully decorated with warm subtle shades of summer on the walls and polished solid pine floors and ceilings. It provides a luxurious and homely base from where to explore this beautiful corner of France.
