Three of us shared this place and we could not have been more thrilled. The setting was picturesque..... the accommodations were absolutely lovely. It was close to Foix, and about an hour from Carcassonne. There is hiking, wineries and lots of other things to explore. At the bottom of the hill there is a local artisans (Website hidden by Airbnb) was great for veggies, cheese, wine, bread and all sorts of other goodies. We all highly recommend this place!

Thank you very much Sarah for our wonderful stay in your beautiful home. The house was really cosy and tastefully renovated giving local countryside feel. There was lots of light and two fireplaces we loved so much. There is also everything for cooking, which was best just to stay in during Christmas and enjoy time in the kitchen with the family. My dog was absolutely thrilled about the backyard where he could wonder whenever he wanted. Or even better we allowed him outside with the other dogs that he loved especially. The village Laborie is really cute tiny village. Locals are very friendly and there are some walking routes directly from the house. The quietness and peacefulness around there is just precious, not also mentioning the sky full of stars during clear weather. We walked on car roads as the forest roads were little wet, but thats ok because there is hardly even any car passing by. Coming from big city, its the best escape to serenity! Sarah welcomes you like her own family. She had got the fireplace going and left us good French wine, which was making the arrival particularly nice! Thanks so much again from my family and mom, we shall return. All the best for end of 2017 and have an awesome start to 2018!

A lovely apartment in a rural, pretty hamlet. We had a great time exploring the local area - and watching the neighbouring goats get milked every morning! Sarah was very helpful and responsive in advance and during our stay. Highly recommended for a family of you want a bit of an adventure.

Sarah was very welcoming and during the course of our stay super helpful- making sure we had everything we needed and answering any minor queries.
The house is beautiful and you can see she has taken real care to make it homely. It is surrounded by small farms, with cows and chickens virtually on the doorstep, but quiet too with almost no traffic outside and a really sleepy feel to the village. The house would be spacious for four and but was positively palatial for two of us and very comfortable. A bonus was loads of visitor info. including good maps.
We were unlucky with the weather but enjoyed relaxing indoors and taking walks in between showers in the beautiful surrounding countryside.
And there really are roses around the door! Thank you Sarah for a great few days.

This is a beautiful and bright gîte, two kilometers off the main road into the Pyrenees. The house is lovely, comfortable, and full of character, with the view from the main bedroom being particularly astounding. Sarah was a marvellous host. She was kind enough to point us towards the local markets, and to suggest various hiking trips (we ended up going to the Cascade d'Ars). We were charmed by the hamlet of Laborie, and most especially by the local farm. We purchased delicious yogurt and goat's cheese from next door, and had a clear view into the next door's coop. All in all we could not recommend the location or the home more.

My husband, 21 month old son and I had a fabulous stay. Sarah was extremely helpful and the house was full of character. The views from the bedroom were amazing and the garden area was picturesque; herbs were growing outside which we used to make free mint/lemon tea each morning...
We stayed for three nights and Sarah gave us some wonderful information regarding beautiful walks and bike rides. We will definitely return.

Sarah was very welcoming, and and even though she lives close by, was an unobtrusive host. She communicated well and we had no trouble finding the house. The house was charming - spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated. We arrived in the rain, and there was a welcoming fire to greet us. The kitchen had everything in it that we needed, and the fresh herbs in the garden were wonderful addition to our suppers. The wifi worked well, and there were plenty of books on the shelves to read instead of those we brought with us. We had a very pleasant few days in Sarah's house and would happily repeat the experience.
