Les Abris is a charming renovated barn with lots of space, ideal for families. The house offers a large living area on the first floor opening onto the garden and terrace areas, downstairs there is the master bedroom leading through to one twin bedroom. In the separate annexe (though joined to the house) there are 2 further bedrooms. The large garden is well kept and fully enclosed, with swimming pool and large sun terrace, plus wonderful views across the countryside.
The property is located just 2km from the village of Turenne where you will find restaurants, a bar, post office, small shop selling essentials and bread, a pharmacie and several artisan shops and exhibitions in the summer months. An absolute must is to climb to the top of the village and the Chateau of Turenne where on a clear day you can see as far as the Massif Central!
The nearest shops are in either Les Quatres Routes or the larger town of Brive la Gaillarde.
A mere 15 minutes drive takes you to numerous beautiful villages such as Collonges la Rouge and Martel, as well as the Dordogne river itself. You are also just 10 minutes from Parc Nature Evasion, where you can swing through trees, learn archery, paint balling etc.

ACCOMMODATION:
First Floor
The large open plan first floor has doors out to 2 terraces and offers a comfortable, light, spacious living and dining area with fully fitted kitchen. The dining table comfortably seats 8, there is a large sofa as well as armchairs in the living area with satellite TV in both english and french, DVD player and wi-fi throughout.
Ground Floor
Stairs from the dining area lead down to the two bedrooms in the main house- a large double which leads through to a twin room so perfect for family with children. There is a shower room where you will also find the washing machine etc, and separate toilet. A door leads to the lower terrace area and also the adjoining annexe where there are two further bedrooms and shower room. The annexe can also be accessed from exterior stairs from the front of the house.
Other Facilities
The property sits in a large fully enclosed garden, great for kids to run around and play while the adults enjoy the views and heated swimming pool! There are pool toys and children bikes which guests are welcome to use, as well as indoor board games and DVD’s. The property is fenced so also ideal for pets!

Special Rental Conditions
Balance of payment is due no later than 6 weeks prior to arrival. You will be advised of your payment date when your reservation is confirmed. Please note we do not send out reminders. Should you choose to make you final payment by credit card we are obliged to add a surcharge of 1.5%.
We require a €400/£300 security deposit. This will be returned to you within 14 days of your departure, less the cost of any damage or breakage’s, which may occur during your stay. We also reserve the right to deduct cleaning charges should the property not be left in a clean and tidy state on departure.
In the unfortunate event that you have to cancel your booking, your deposit is non-refundable. If however, you cancel within 6 weeks of arrival the full amount becomes non-refundable unless we are able to re-let the property. We would, of course, make every effort to do so. We strongly recommend that you take out appropriate travel insurance.
