If you are looking for a gîte in Brittany then look no further than Walnut Tree Gîte. We stayed there for 2 weeks and were so sad we had to leave – we wanted to stay at least another week! The gîte is a real home away from home and has everything you could need. Tina and Graeme have thought of everything to make Walnut Tree Gîte friendly, homely and absolutely spotless! Each room has just what you need. A place often advertises towels and beach towels but the towels can be small and scratchy – we didn’t use our own towels as the Walnut Tree Gîte towels were lovely and fluffy. During the fortnight we had the duvet and towels changed and even extra toilet roll provided - we’re used to going and buying our own! The kitchen is equipped with everything you can think of. There is nothing you need that Tina and Graeme haven’t provided. The bedrooms are lovely and spacious – we had a choice of the master or the gorgeous mezzanine – both were bright and airy. Our son loved his room, it was just right for him. Outside, the gardens are lovely and have continual sunshine. We spent many hours in the pool – our son loved it and as someone who isn’t usually bothered about the pool, I spent a lot of time in it as it is big and warm! When we weren’t in the pool, we were relaxing in the loungers or chairs in peaceful surroundings. The garden is lovely and colourful. I spent hours out there reading. As hosts, Tina and Graeme are fantastic. They made us welcome the moment we arrived and nothing was too much trouble for them. The welcome goodies were well received – the homemade cake, jams and chutneys were delicious! Despite being next door, we felt as if we had the place to ourselves. We can’t not mention Poppy dog either. We had our daily cuddles with her – she is so gentle and our son loved playing with her most days and sneakily opening the gate so she could visit us when we were sat outside! Walnut Tree Gîte is well situated to get out and about and visit the area. We enjoyed visiting local towns, cities and walks. We will be returning to Walnut Tree Gîte in the future – the date is already in the diary! Thank you Tina and Graeme for making this one of our most enjoyable holidays to France. Despite the Covid-19 ‘cloud’ hanging over many things, we had one of the best holidays ever. You have a beautiful place and anyone who stays with you will want to return. We are missing you both, Poppy and the gîte.

We all had a wonderful time at Walnut Tree Gite. Tina and Graeme couldn’t be better hosts - totally respectful of our privacy but on hand throughout to make sure all goes smoothly. They really went above and beyond with thoughtful touches, including an epic welcome pack (including one for our dog), an emergency wine reserve and loads of kids toys and dvds/books. Our two boys (3&6) loved splashing around in the pool (it’s so hard to find smaller places with their own private pool) and we all loved the garden, but we spent a lot of time exploring the area. My husband raved about the cycling and although we were a bit worried about not being closer to the coast, nearby Lac de Guerlédan which has 2 sandy beaches ticked that box just fine. Our highlights include hiring bikes from Breton Bikes to pootle along the Nantes-Brest Canal (we had an amazing lunch at pop-up canal side cafe), the days we spent at the lake and our trip to nearby Saint Nicholas where we hired a pedalo.

A very spacious and recently renovated gite located in a very quiet village. I was quite surprised how big the place was. Even the kitchen and gardens are are quite large. There is also 3 bath/shower rooms. It also has a certain mix of English and French charm (separate living room and dining room for example - surely rare for a gite). The hosts were very kind and helpful, we found some additional nice treats upon arrival. For visiting the south coast of Brittany, you are located about 1 hour from most of the main tourist places. For resting or visiting the mid/south of Brittany, this place was ideal.

''We had an incredible stay at the Walnut Tree Gite! The stone house is absolutely beautiful, very well decorated, surrounded by a wonderful garden with a nice swimming pool. We relaxed and chilled in front of the fireplace and enjoyed all the gite's facilities. Kersulan is a nice and quiet village, located in the most beautiful Brittany's landscapes. Tina and Graeme are thoughtful and lovely hosts. They gave us the best tips of walks, restaurants and places to see. They were always available when we need them. I heartly recommand this wonderful gite!
