Poplar House - Loire Holiday Home with Heated Swimming Pool in Deux-Sevres, Near Saumur

Le Ruault comprises two well-equipped houses in a little corner of the countryside on the edge of the Loire Valley:
Poplar House can accommodate 8 people with 4 bedrooms; Orchard Cottage sleeps 6 with 3 bedrooms (although they can be rented together, making this an ideal solution for anyone looking to vacation with extended family or friends). Nestled in a plot of over 2.5 ha, the estate includes gardens, an orchard and a small fishing pond.

The properties have at their disposal a heated outdoor swimming pool of 12m x 6m. Located at the end of the garden, it is in a very sunny corner, which makes it a pleasant place to relax with the rustling of poplars and the chirping of birds. It is available from mid-May until the end of September and you have the possibility of swimming at any time of the day. We have had clients who hardly wandered away from it during their stay and others who enjoyed snorkeling to cool off after a day out. The Romanesque staircase allows easy access and the depth goes from 1.2 m to 1.8 m. An automatic rollover cover is available, which has two functions: to protect the swimming pool (when not in use), which is good to know if you have young children, and retain the heat overnight. We have lost count of the number of kids who learned to swim - or improved their confidence - in this pool.

We have wifi throughout the site. Each property has a selection of books, games and DVDs as well as English and French television. We provide table tennis, badminton and a range of bikes for adults and children if you're feeling more energetic.

We guarantee you a great night's sleep on our pocket sprung mattress beds, with premium, fresh and crisp 100% Egyptian cotton bed linens. Each property has one bedroom with a permanent 150cm king-size bed. The other rooms can be configured either with single beds or with a super large bed (180cm).

Poplar House has two bedrooms on the ground floor, which share a bathroom and is therefore suitable for rental for people with reduced mobility. We can also provide handles for the baths and a shower seat.

For those with young children, we have travel cots with mattresses, high chairs, changing mats and strollers - all to simplify your trip and save space in the car.

We bought Le Ruault in 2007 and made it our home in 2017. We put all our hearts into perfecting the accommodation and its surroundings. We prefer to say that we bought the buildings with land and now we have a house with gardens! We have been welcoming holidaymakers to Le Ruault since 2008 and we hope you will want to come and stay there too!
