The living room with feature fireplace (with wood burning stove for winter lets – there is also warm air central heating and centrally controlled electric radiators) leads through French windows to terraces on either side of the house for all day sun or shade.
The villa also boasts a large luxury heated swimming pool and a well-equipped games room. The three bedrooms sleep seven and there is also a travel cot available. The villa, which has superb views of vineyards and local countryside, is on the edge of the charming mediaeval village of Autignac; just a few minutes walk to the village centre.
The village centre is within a few minutes easy walk and offers everything needed for day to day living, with larger shops only a short drive away. A wide variety of Mediterranean beaches lie just 30 minutes to the south. The local area offers hill walking, bird watching, golf, kayaking, swimming and other water sports. It is an area that has suffered a turbulent history, resulting in a wealth of historical sites to explore. The village is in the Faugeres AOC wine region and on the edge of St. Chinian. There are ample opportunities to sample the excellent local wines of Autignac and the surrounding villages!
ACCOMMODATION:
The villa sleeps 7 and also has a travel cot. The main accommodation of the villa is on the ground floor, with the utility and games area on the lower ground floor. The ground floor has two wings, the open plan living wing and the bedroom wing.

Comfortable lounge area: Well furnished lounge area with two large settees and two armchairs, a large coffee table and occasional tables. There is a wide-screen TV with UK satellite channels, DVD and VCR and a hi-fi system and there is also a selection of DVDs, Videos, CDs, games, toys and an extensive book library. Other useful items include a cool box and freezer blocks, children’s games. rucksack etc.
The stone fireplace has a wood-burning stove. Double French doors lead on to the front patio area for morning sun and afternoon shade.
Dining area: Large mahogany dining table and chairs. Double French doors lead on to the rear terrace, which is shady in the morning and sunny in the afternoon and evening.
Kitchen: Separated from the dining area by a breakfast bar, the kitchen has a large, American-style fridge freezer with icemaker, a dishwasher, full electric oven, ceramic hob with extractor, microwave, toaster, in fact everything one could possibly need. There is ample crockery, cutlery, glasses for all occasions (including plastic for outside) and cooking utensils. The kitchen also has double French doors leading on to the rear terrace.
The three double French doors, all with shutters, and ceiling fans in each of the three areas mean that the living room always has cooling breezes when required; however for those really hot summer days there is also air-conditioning.

The attractive large heated private pool has a Roman end so that you can step in gradually and is walled and fenced for security. By the pool there is also an outside shower with hot and cold water and a toilet with hand basin.
Extensive terraces to the front, rear and side of the property with ample terrace furniture; tables, chairs, sunbeds etc. Also a built in barbecue and a separate moveable Webber one.
The large Mediterranean garden is well planted with local flora including fruit trees, mimosas and oleanders. The drive has ample parking.

Bookings run from Saturday 4pm to Saturday 10.00am and include electricity, water, linen, and towels (not beach towels). The pool is open and heated from April 1st to mid-October (possibly later by arrangement). A reduction can be made for extended periods, call for details.
