The owner Marie was very helpful in getting directions and contact info.
The local property manager Christophe was always there if we need any information.
This is a historic building built in the 1800's. It was previously a hotel (Riviera Palace) with all the granger in its day.
What you have to understand when staying here is not a tourist condo, your living with the locals. You have to understand that this is an authentic French Palace with all the amazing Marble Stairways, 20 foot high ceilings, and wide hallways.
If you're looking for a typical cookie cutter typical condo, it's not here. This is an amazing and magical place.
The grounds are a garden. During national day people were touring the building, taking pictures and gathering for the opera singer and flute player on the lawn. The apartment has everything you need: Big tub, separate shower, nice bedroom, living room, dining room and a wonderful kitchen. If you love to cook, like we do, then you're in heaven. The kitchen has its own balcony that just fits two chairs and a table with a roller blading and beautiful views of the sea. There are three cabinets that are filled with dishes, and everything you need. The kitchen has a very good stove, microwave and induction cook top. Big refrigerator and a dishwasher. Pots and pans are plenty with all the utensils you will need. The beds are very comfortable, the sitting room is very nice. The doors are the classic French doors, with additional big heavy duty shutters. If you want to wake up early this morning To go to the city of Sospel. There are small local shops and Carrefour and Casino. If you take Sospel Road past the interstate (10 minutes) there is a Hype Mache with everything you need. The walk to the train station is 10 minutes, to town is 20 minutes to the old town. Parking at the palace is first come first serve. You get used to it. Elevator is nice. They have a shopping cart that floats around if you need to take a lot to the apartment. I highly recommend this apartment to those who enjoy a place with character and charm. This is truly a French Classic and I will be returning.

apartment of good comfort and good taste, combining the charm of yesteryear with the pleasure of a superb garden, very calm. Easy relations with the city center thanks to the small bus 3. Good descriptions and good advice given by the owner. A bit far from the seafront, but well ventilated in hot weather!

The building is beautiful, its location on the heights of Menton far from the noise and in lush greenery is a delight, the apartment is spacious and comfortable. We did some remarkable photos of the Art Deco building and the landscape! In a word, in this stay in Mention at Riviera Palace, everything is eminently positive. Including the friendliness and kindness of the owner of the apartment. We were four people in the apartment and we promised to come back soon. The five stars are deserved!

A dream vacation in a beautiful Belle Epoque palace with all the comforts of today. We loved this place full of history with a breathtaking view of a private park that looked like a palm grove. The apartment is well designed and spacious. The palace is a little out of the way and on the heights of the seaside so quiet; for races and walks plan a little walk and climb for the return. In addition the owner is adorable. In short, is it when we go back?

Very nice apartment, large, well located, sunny, tastefully furnished in an old palace that has kept the charm and luxury crazy of the time when the English aristocracy basked on the Riviera. The owner is open-minded, honest, reliable and understanding. All to please!
