“We have been staying in rented farmhouses in France as a family for many years and in our opinion this was one of the best value for money and easily the best equipped with a really lovely pool. Rarely have we had so much space despite being within a short walk/drive to villageshops and amenities. With children it is also important that the property is not cluttered and difficult to manage. We found Amouroux welcoming but not so full of personal/precious items that it was difficult to relax. Wonderful to have the table and chairs both sides of the house and the use of the extra freezer in the cellar so we didn’t have to go shopping every couple of days! Really appreciate the pool towels also as this is a real issue as luggage allowances get lower and lower on cheap flights. Lots of helpful information about the house and area was easily to hand.”
“This is the fourth house we have stayed in via Owners Direct. All the others were great – this one was probably the best.
Beautiful house, tastefully renovated and a lovely quiet location. The house was as good as the photographs suggested.
The property was easily large enough to accommodate our whole party (up to 8 adults and 3 children). We had a lovely relaxed holiday – even on the ‘bad’ weather days it was usually warm enough to eat outside. Experienced some spectacular storms, which were exiting. Fantastic sunset views from the terrace where we had our evening meals.”
“We had a lovely holiday in the French house. What a beautiful part of the world its in. One of the most beautiful places I have ever stayed’”
“We enjoyed your house very much. It must have been love at first sight... We recommended your house to our friends and family!”
“The house is a traditional house that has been nicely converted, keeping it’s character. While it has been renovated to a good standard it is very easy to be in as a family as it has not been over “done” . It has a nice atmosphere. It is spacious for the number of people. The garden is great – you feel very much in the countryside with lovely views. The pool is well-equipped: toys, BBQ, kitchen, bed-linen, towels etc. It feels remote but isn’t too far from local shops, the river, places to eat.”
“We had a wonderful stay in your house. We thought the house was extremely well equipped and it matched your descriptions to the letter. We had a lovely time visiting all the towns and villages locally and even managed to spend a day canoeing on the river. My sister found the info you left re fishing permits really useful so thanks for doing that.”
“Als ik aan ons verblijf in Les Amouroux denk, heb ik vooral nog het beeld van de keuken en van de warmte van het hout en de kleur rood voor mijn ogen, als ook dat van mijn peuters die kilometers gedaan hebben met hun loopfiets rond de prachtige tafel! Wat een ruimte, binnen en buiten, wat een warme inrichting en wat een uitstekend uitgeruste keuken. Het was er heerlijk vertoeven en we raden het huis al aan familie en vrienden aan!
Thinking of Les Amouroux, I still see before me the kitchen with its warm wood and red colour, and my kids going round and round that beautiful table on their little bikes! What a lot of space, inside and outside, what a warm interior design, and what a excellent equipped kitchen! It was great to stay there and we started recommending your place to family and friends.”
“We really enjoyed all the space available, both inside and out. The children - aged 6,4, 3 and 1 - loved to run in the meadow, play with the sports equipment, swim and pick plums for supper. We also picked wild herbs from the meadow for our meals.
The scenery in the area is stunning and we had several good days out to different attractions – Rocamadour, LaCave, the train at Martel, canoeing, Quercyland, Carrenac and more.
The boulangerie and alimentation in Payrac were convenient and welcoming.
Overall we had a very good holiday, and would love to come back again sometime!”
