Welcome to our beautiful Provençale villa, situated just outside the lovely village of Ansouis, (”one of the most beautiful villages in France”) only a 30-minute drive north of Aix en Provence and 45 minutes from the airport in Marseille.

After 9 years in the area, three years ago we found the house of our dreams. It’s named Ferme st Pierre, and as the name suggests, it used to be an old farm. Over the last years the house has been extended and totally renovated and now comprises 250 m2 of luxury living space.

The renovation has been carried out with exquisite materials providing a very sober interior. If you’re looking for a villa to rent in France with private pool, beautiful garden areas, surrounded by vineyards, then this is the Provence dream!

First floor

When you enter the house, you will find a large, welcoming hall with a lovely staircase leading up to the second floor. You will also find the living area with a big fireplace in direct connection to the spacious dining area.  Furthermore, there is the open kitchen solution (all equipment by Miele), 1 bedroom with direct access to the garden and an en-suite bathroom/WC. 

The first floor also includes the utility room with a washing machine and a dryer.

During the summer the floor heating system converts into a light cooling system.

Second floor

Upstairs you will find the Master Bedroom Suite with a walk-in closet and a large bathroom – all air conditioned. There are also 2 more spacious bedrooms (one with air condition), one bathroom/WC as well as a TV lounge with a cosy fireplace. All beautifully renovated.

The view is fantastic! To the north you have vines and in the background, you will see the Luberon.  To the east and west you have amazing views of the surroundings as well. To the south you can get a glimpse of the ancient Ansouis Castle.

Outdoors

The lovely garden spreads over 3000 m2. The landscape architect has not spared any efforts when designing the different parts of the garden. Here you can find a gazebo covered with lovely blue wisteria, several rose beds, magnificent magnolias and oleanders, trimmed bushes and an abundance of lavenders.

The sunbathing area in direct connection to the large swimming pool (5,5 x 11 metres with an electrical cover) offers cosy lounge chairs. Or if you prefer a calmer space you will also find a sitting area under the parasol.

You can enjoy your meals outdoors by using the patio which seats 8 people under the vines. 

The property offers parking for 4 cars, 2 in the carport and 2 in the open space. The whole garden is fenced, and the gate is automatically operated.

Fibre  internet is installed, providing you with good WIFI connection.

 

Surroundings

The property is ideally situated just outside Ansouis (a 5-minute walk from the centre) in the Regional Park of the Luberon and a short drive from the well-known villages of Lourmarin and Cucuron.  There are plenty of quality restaurants in the area for instance the Michelin-starred “La Closerie” in Ansouis.

There are also beautiful hiking opportunities around the Luberon. Or why not do some biking and explore the area?

Provence is well known for its excellent rosé wines, with world famous vineyards just around the corner waiting to be enjoyed. There are also plenty of fantastic red and white wine producers in the area to explore.

You also have to visit some of the many village markets. There you can find locally grown fruit and vegetables as well as fantastic cheeses and olives among other things.

Special Rental Conditions

Minimum 7 nights stay
Children 7 years of age (or older) are welcome

Change-over day is Saturday. Check out before 11.00 and check-in after 16.00.

To reserve your stay we require a 25% deposit when booking, 25% on April 1st and the balance (50%) to be paid at least 30 days prior to your check-in date together with a Damage deposit of 500 euros.
Holidaymakers who cancel at least 30 days before check-in will get back 100% of the amount that you've paid.
