We specialise in quality exclusive carp fishing holidays for small parties, with luxury lakeside accommodation, in the Charente Department Nouvelle Aquitaine Region of South West France. The beautiful four acre lake is situated on a 10 acre fenced secure site in a very rural and scenic location, and has a very impressive stock of carp that you will struggle to find elsewhere at this type of venue. With common and miror carp going up to more than 60lbs with many fish in excess of 40lbs Les Croix has the potential to make your carp fishing dreams come true ! In addition, the fact that all our carp are in prisitine condition, makes the venue unique and sets it apart from other similar French Lakes. The modern, comfortable and well equipped lakeside accommodation - which has its own secure gated access, is situated just 30 metres from the lake, can sleep up to six people, and is fully eqipped with Sky TV, outside patio with large gas barbeque and seating area, with a heated swimming pool adjacent. The venue is just a short drive away from a large town that has all amenities, and is only 25 minutes drive from Limoges Airport. We offer a home cooked food packages, tackle hire and bait for sale on site. A warm welcome and twenty-four hour on site assistance are standard in all carp fishing holidays at Les Croix. We have been offering exclusive carp fishing holidays in France since 2008, and 2024 will be our 17th year in business. Over the years we have worked hard to create, maintain and improve our carp fishing holiday venue, and we have been rewarded, not only by seeing the evolution of the exclusive carp lake and private site, but with a many happy, satisfied and loyal customers who return on a regular basis. 

LAKESIDE ACCOMMODATION

Guests have exclusive use of our modern fully equipped lakeside holiday cottage. Only thirty metres from, and overlooking the lake, in a very private sunny location with oak woodland at the rear, the 65 square metre property sleeps up to 5 people, with 2 bedrooms, (bedroom 1 - double room. bedroom 2 - three single beds.
Kitchen/living room with two leather sofas, dining area, 42" TV with SKY HD Freeview channels, DVD player and a 200 title DVD library. There is a good 4G signal here on site and from 2022 wi-fi is available in the accommodation.
Bathroom with large luxury shower, wash basin, heated towel rail and English W/C. Kitchen has fan oven, gas hob, extractor fan, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, kettle, fridge freezer, crockery, pans, cutlery and plenty of workspace and cupboard storage. Cleaning products are supplied. The gite is double glazed, well insulated and remains cool in summer and warm in the cooler months with heating in all rooms. Fans are provided for summer use.

Outside you will find a covered tiled terrace area with large modern gas barbecue, table and chairs and the lawns leading down to the lake. Next to the terrace is the heated swimming pool and adjoining sun patio complete with seating area, table and chairs and sun loungers.

The pool will be open from mid -June to mid -September (weather dependant) !
The accommodation is completely independant with its own gated access, and is situated on the opposite side of the lake to the owners' house.

Important notes:

A maximum of 5 people are allowed on the site (2 anglers/3 additional guests).
Fishing from the gite is not allowed - all anglers must stay with their rods in the swims at all times.
The gite is a smoke free zone - smoking is not permitted inside. Bait must not be taken inside the accomodation.
(Bait freezer is available at owners house).
The accommodation is maintained in immaculate condition and is thoroughly cleaned before every chageover - you will find it in spotless condition on your arrival.
Gas, electricity, water and bed linen are all included in the price that you pay.

Saturday flights are available into Limoges Airport (25 minutes travel time to the venue) from a variety of local UK airports - flights are currently avaialable from Stanstead/Bristol/EastMidlands/Manchester/Southampton.
This gives customers the flexibility to arrive by air and use the car hire services available at the airport.

Flights with Car Hire, (self catering or food package) + Tackle Hire/Bait Package
Car hire is available at Limoges Airport and can be arranged at the same time as the booking of flights. The cost of car hire varies, we advise clients to shop around and to look at the various companies and current offers..  With this option you will have complete independance to be able to go self catering if you wish. On arrival at Les Croix. tackle hire and bait will be provided, (full or part food package is also available if you choose this option).

Anglers bring their own reels, alarms, indicators, kit for baiting up, and terminal tackle. We have a selection of end tackle for sale on site, that includes all items that are requested in the rules, and most other end tackle that could be needed. There is a local tackle shop in Saint Junien (10 minute drive) that has everything else in stock.

Les Croix is situated in the eastern corner of the Charente countryside in South West France, near to the Haute-Vienne border, situated between the three towns of Bellac, Confolens and St. Junien.
Driving time is approximately 4.5 hours from Caen, 5 hours Le Havre/St.Malo, and 8 hours from Calais/Boulogne.
Although the cheapest crossings are from Dover, it is well worth considering the overnight crossing (with a cabin) from Newhaven to Dieppe with LD Lines which is a cheaper option, or a crossing with Brittany Ferries to Caen.
This reduces the overall driving time in the UK for many people, and cuts costs on fuel and tolls on this side of the channel. Having slept on the ferry you will be less tired for the shorter drive in France and can arrive feeling ready to enjoy your holiday !

Best driving route from Calais/Boulogne follows Rouen/Le Mans/Tours/Poitiers avoiding Paris !
