Luxury Holiday Gites with Heated Pool, Nr Realmont, Midi-Pyrenees, France

ORIOLE and ROSSIGNOL - Our two well appointed gites have been created from a barn adjoining our house. They are both open-plan with a spacious galleried mezzanine sleeping-area. Oriole differs slightly from Rossignol in having the mezzanine divided by an exposed timber frame into a dressing and sleeping area, whereas, in Rossignol, the mezzanine is smaller while the ground floor is larger.

On the ground floors, French windows lead into a spacious tiled living/dining-area, furnished with a sofa, armchair, coffee table, dining-table and chairs. Two large thermostatically controlled radiators provide heating in the winter months.

The Gites have Wi-Fi as well as a Bluetooth speaker. 

The adjoining open-plan kitchens are fully equipped with a 4-burner gas hob and oven, fridge, microwave and automatic washing-machine.

The bathrooms are on the ground floor and comprise a hand-built vanity unit, full sized bath with integral shower, WC, and electric towel-drier.

Although the gites have been insulated to the highest specifications to ensure an even temperature in the summer heat and winter cold, we have retained as much as possible of the original beams and timber structure, and other features.

Open-tread pine staircases lead up to the mezzanine floors, which are balustraded on the side overlooking the living-area below. Each has a double bed, two bedside cabinets, a chest of drawers and hanging-space for clothes.

OUTSIDE - Each gite has its own lawned garden area, consisting of rose-covered fences, plants and flowers. Garden furniture and BBQ are provided for each gite.

The heated swimming pool is just a few yards from the gites and is surrounded by paved terraces and lawns. It is not overlooked.

Two magnificent lime trees provide shade from the summer heat.
