Luxury Holiday Cottage with Garden and Heated Swimming Pool in Maine-et-Loire - Le Poussin

Luxury Self-Catering Cottages and B&B accommodation in the Loire Valley.

Welcome to La Poulerie, our paradise found. Set amidst apple orchards and nearby pine forests, close to the picturesque village of Parcay les Pins in the beautiful Loire Valley. La Poulerie as the name implies was at one time a chicken farm.

We bought our property in 1992. After converting the mud floor barn into our home, we were able to move over to France in October 1993, shortly after this we opened our Bed & Breakfast business.

In 1995 our first two cottages, Le Poussin (2 people) and Le Poulet (4 people) were open and ready to receive guests. These cottages are just across the main courtyard from our house, they were the original farmers cottages at La Poulerie.

The property is set on an acre of land with an attractive courtyard and garden.

All of our cottages have use of our private 11m x 5m heated swimming pool and surrounding sunbathing area with sun beds, solar shower and covered patio with tables and chairs. The pool is treated with salt therefore is kind to young and sensitive skins

Please note: Un-accompanied children under 16 years are not allowed in or around the swimming pool. Thank you.

LE POUSSIN:
Once a derelict building, which had a mud floor and had been damaged by fire, this cottage has now been restored to accommodate 2 people. As with Le Poulet, this has a large “Tuffeau” fireplace and a wealth of oak beams, which we had sandblasted to bring them back to their former glory.

The ground floor is open plan, with a kitchen area comprising of fridge / freezer, microwave, gas hob and electric oven, toaster and all the necessary items / equipment you would want, along with a pine dining table and chairs.

The lounge area has a welsh dresser, 3 seater sofa and armchair, coffee table, television with English channels, DVD, Bluetooth Speaker, HI FI and C.D. player. There is also a large selection of books for guests to read.

Wi Fi access and USB point.

Upstairs the landing there is a built in wardrobe, from which there is a bedroom with twin beds and bedside cabinets, a large chest of drawers, dressing table and chair. The dormer window has wonderful views over the rolling fields and nearby pine forests. The shower room has a shower, washbasin and toilet. 
There is a USB charging point and UK style sockets.
To the rear of the cottage you have a covered patio with BBQ, garden table and chairs, with shared enclosed garden.

Utilities; Guests have shared use of a washing machine (available at a small charge) located in our private storeroom between the two cottages.

Guests may take a wander over to our pool area and take a dip in our private 11m x 5 m heated saltwater swimming pool. Opening times are 10.00 am to 6.00 pm subject to the water and weather conditions. Please note; due to Health and Safety regulations no un-accompanied children under 16 years of age are allowed in or around the pool area.

For your comfort, and the comfort of future guests, smoking is not permitted inside the cottage or on the property.
