Luxury Holiday Apartment Rental With Private Pool in Gattieres, Nice Area Reviews

Wonderful hosts, great location and very high quality villa
Stayed for 1 week End July, as a family of 3 with a 13yo daughter. Villa is very well decorated with high quality soft furnishings and furnished with all the equipment and appliances you could need. The villa is well maintained and is well cared for and it shows. The pool is a good size and plenty of space to lounge around and catch the sun or sit in the shade. Liz and Quentin (the owners) are the nicest and most helpful hosts you could ask for, completely welcoming and friendly, helpful and very knowledable of the area and can assist with tips and advice to improve your stay. They will both make sure your stay is going well and are happy to either be part of your holiday or leave you to do your own thing with just enough help to get the most from your time, its a great balance. The villa is set in its own grounds and not overlooked so you have privacy, but also have great views over the valley to Nice. The gardens and grounds are well maintained. The rural setting is good to be away from the hustle and bustle of the city, but you are only 20mins from the city itself by car. The local village has a supermarket, fine bakers, grocers and a butchers which are good for supplies and fresh products daily. There are lots of other villages to explore by car. All in all a great place to stay in a great location with great hosts. I would really recommend this villa, we all had such a great time and were sorry to leave at the end of our holiday.

Lovely star with warm and friendly hosts
We had a fantastic week in and around Gattieres, staying in this beautiful apartment. Liz and Quentin are the kindest and friendliest people you could have as hosts. Around if you need help or advice, but otherwise leaving us to enjoy their beautiful property. The apartment is very quiet and has views from the balcony down to the sea in the far distance. It is really convenient for visiting places such as Monaco, Antibes, Vence, St Paul de Vence and Nice, but is also perfect for relaxing around the lovely pool area. The aircon in the living area and the large bedroom are excellent and the kitchen is short of nothing. A great stay and if we are ever in the area again we will definitely choose this apartment again.

Relaxing Haven
Amazing welcome here - we loved our stay at this property. Very relaxing, cosy, clean home. Gorgeous pool and fabulous view. Slept so well in comfortable beds and honestly didn’t want to leave. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

June trip
We had a lovely time staying in Liz and Quentin’s property. The location was brilliant with beautiful views down the valley and a wonderful pool to relax in. They were great at giving us recommendations locally of where to eat and we enjoyed drinks with them one evening, getting to enjoy the views of their property. Very generous hosts. Just what we were looking for and we’d love to come back!

Lovely property and amazing hosts.
We loved staying in Liz and Quentins apartment. It was very comfortable and cosy with incredible views. The pool and barbeque area were perfect. The location is ideal for exploring the core d'azur. Our hosts are very welcoming, friendly and a real pleasure to meet and spend some time with. One of out best holidays ever and we will definitely visit again, we cant speak more highly of the property or of the hosts.

Amazing Location
This is a lovely property with the most amazing views and perfectly situated for visiting some of the best places in the South of France, 20 minutes to Vence with it's pretty streets and romantic history, a wonderful choice of restaurants and more stunning views. Also only 20 minutes to the coast with an assortment of towns and beaches. Gattieres itself is a delightful village, it provides everything you need for self catering, the supermarket sells an excellent assortment of fresh food, good wine, plus all sorts of extras, from swimming goggles to sewing kits. There is a lovely boulangerie and two very nice restaurants. Liz and Quentin are very hospitable, we spent a wonderful evening by the pool, drinking their wine and getting some very good tips on where to go and what to see, the pool area is really lovely, with a very impressive BBQ and more stunning views. Our favourite area was the private terrace directly outside the property, with it's wonderful old olive tree, borgainvillea and pretty tubs, this made the perfect place for late breakfasts of fresh pastries from the village and coffee. In the evenings we watched the sunset with local wine and lit candles, enjoying the warm nights while eating the fresh local produce.

Quiet, well equipped apartment above Nice
The apartment below the main house is very well equipped and has a private terrace with expansive view. This terrace is shaded and would be more appreciated on hot days. Gattieres village with its grocery and bakery is a ten minute walk. We received a warm welcome and helpful advice about visiting in the area. A detailled house guide gives a lot of information and the hosts fill in with other suggestions. We appreciated the heated pool in March . The driveway is on a steep downward slope and you must be careful getting in and out. If you are inexperienced with a manual transmission we would suggest renting an automatic since some of the local roads are challenging. The hosts suggested driving to the northern end of the Nice tramway, parking there and exploring Nice by public transport (recommended ). All in all a very good place for a vacation above the crowds on the coastal strip.

Fantastic holiday.
Fantastic and very friendly hosts, gorgeous location and garden/pool. Couldn’t fault anything. Perfect as a base for visiting lots of places on he coast and in the mountains. Easy to drive to from the airport, would defiantly recommend . Thanks for a lovely holiday.
