The property is located near the historic country town of Bernay (15 minutes by car ) with direct train connections to Paris. In the beautiful Eure countryside, the Chaumiere is set in the Broglie forest, surrounded by 5 acres of garden and field.
The nearest shops are in Broglie (10 minutes) and this charming thatched building is quite separate from the Manor, which is 200 metres or so away. It comprises 2 double bedrooms of which one is ensuite, a study bedroom with a sofa/double bed. There is a further bathroom, and a kitchen dining area next to a fine sitting room and fireplace. It is a newly thatched and completely renovated, including new electrics and a pellet heating system. In the summer, the large pool of 11 X 6 metres, is a wonderful feature.
For larger groups, the Chaumiere can be reneted together with the Manoir - Sleeps 14 people.
(£3000 per week) There would also be a discount if rented together with the 'Manoir'.
Note: the pool is not currently fenced off, so no rentals to families with non swimmers!
