Le Moulin Bodin is a former watermill situated in the beautiful South Vendee countryside.
This charming 2 bedroom stone cottage is set in quiet rural setting minutes from Mareuil sur Lay and 10 mins from Lucon, which offers a good range of shops and restaurants, as well as a very impressive Cathedral.

The cottage is nestled on the banks of the river Lay at the end of a country lane.It is an ideal romantic retreat for a couple, but can also accommodate a small family. There is a private terrace with barbecue, swimming pool shared with the owners, rowing boats on the river, and five acres of private grounds for guests to enjoy. It has been recently renovated in traditional style, yet retains much of its original charm and character with exposed oak beams and terracotta tiles throughout. Modern touches have been added for an enjoyable stay, such as a fully fitted kitchen on one side of the main living area, and a wet room with open shower, wc and basin.
Guests are welcome to use the 14mx7m swimming pool from May to September.

The large 6m x 6m oak-beamed living room boasts a magnificent fireplace with wood burning stove. Other features include a dining table for 6, sofa bed and armchair, as well as a gas hob, one and a half bowl sink, microwave and built-in dishwasher and fridge.

The master bedroom has a king size bed.
The second bedroom, with child size bunk beds, is located between the master bedroom and shower room and has a window overlooking the terrace; there is also a sofa bed in the living room.
The bedroom has a window overlooking the river, and a farmhouse door with window facing across the drive to the owners' converted Mill House. 

Enjoy the views over the mill race towards the river and island.
The living room back door gives on to a south west facing terrace with barbecue and garden furniture.

There is also a large covered area housing bikes and table tennis.
