Lovely Vendee Villa to Rent in Jard Sur Mer, Loire Valley

The villa is situated in a quiet road a short stroll from the centre of Jard-Sur-Mer with its marina, fine sandy beaches, cafes, bars and restaurants all within easy walking distance. Jard-Sur-Mer enjoys more than 2500 hours of sunshine throughout the year! The town's shops include numerous bakeries, a butcher's, wine merchants and a large Super-U (including a huge fresh-fish counter) for all your provisions. There is also the town's market (the largest in the area) every Monday all year round.  The Villa is situated right on the Vendee Velo cycle track network which stretches over 1000km enabling safe cycling at your own pace. 

The Villa sleeps 6 adults, plus a baby cot and high-chair are also provided. The property is set in a secluded walled garden both to the rear and front aspect. Guests can park their cars at the front of the property behind private locked gates.

The villa is well equipped and provides duvets and pillows for all beds (linen and towels are not provided).  A TV is provided which receives all the UK Freesat tv channels, together with French terrestrial TV channels. 
A Blu-ray player with a selection of films for you to watch are also provided for your entertainment. WI-FI internet broadband is provided throughout the property and on the terrace.

The tourist office in the town centre can provide details of local bike hire, fishing, golf, tennis and other sporting activities. The area is a haven for cyclists and has been on the route of the Tour de France in previous years.



ACCOMMODATION FACILITIES:

• Fitted Kitchen - full-size electric oven, induction-hob, microwave, Bosch dish-washer and large refrigerator.  A chest freezer and Bosch washing-machine are located in the garage, accessed from the kitchen.  There is loads of storage space for bikes and your beach items.

• Lounge area - two John Lewis Sofa-Beds and Blue tooth connected hi-fi
• Television - receiving all UK Freesat channels and French terrestrial channels
• Blu-ray player - with selection of films for you to watch should you wish

• Bedroom 2 - twin beds and fitted wardrobes
• Bedroom 3 - twin beds and fitted wardrobes
• Bathroom - Bath and separate walk-in shower
• Separate WC - located next door to the bathroom

The Area:
Jard Sur Mer is a small friendly resort on the Vendee Coast in Pays de la Loire which stretches from Nantes in the north almost to La Rochelle. There are also local salt marshes with their wildlife and birds and slightly further afield is the Marais Poitevin.  Nearby oyster farms will sell you their produce along with a crisp glass of white wine, or take some home for supper.  Busy larger resorts of Les Sables d'Olonne is slightly north of Jard and La Rochelle is an easy one hour drive to the south. If you travel a little further afield inland you can visit the famous canal systems at Marais Poitevin known as 'green Venice'.

A memorable day and or evening can be spent at the Puy Du Fou, which through its shows and surroundings, including a medieval city and 18th century village, offers a fascinating insight into local history.
