the Lady tells lies she waited 3 days to say if there was anythiing wrong when I asked her for her security deposit which she was reluctant to pay she then said the gite was dusty and the toilet was dirty if this was the case why did she not tell me the day they arrived.in her comments she also said the pool was dirty which is not 4 different families had bbe using it long before she went to use it there might have been some leaves blow into the pool but there is a net there to pick them out or did she think I was her personal pool attendant no way I do not know why she picked a 180 year old gite alas they do get spiders and cobwebs but before anybody occupies a gite they are welll cleaned and sprayed with spider spray I rejected her applications twice I wish I had rejected it a third time I think she for her vacation she should go to a very new house or the grand hotel

An involved and hospitable older couple who maintain and rent out the cottages themselves.
The cottages have enough privacy, because they are located on a spacious and green area.
The eight-person house has four double bedrooms. The decor is a bit old-fashioned, but everything is neat and colorful.
Downstairs there is a sitting room and a dining room with an open kitchen. David has just installed wifi and it works perfectly.
If you have any problems or questions, you can easily drop by David, he will immediately get to work.
The pool is great for children and adults as it slopes down and has steps.
In fifteen minutes you will find the city of Saumur, with many large supermarkets. You will find a local supermarket at 6 minutes in the village of Allonnes.
There is a beekeeper in the area, you can canoe on the Loire and you can enter the caves within an hour's drive.
Towards the city of Angers you really go into the wine region, in the city of Tours you can enjoy shopping.

A spacious holiday home on a small complex in a rural setting, close to the town of Saumur.
A pleasant, spacious garden surrounds the total of four holiday homes with a shared swimming pool. Excellent beds and solid furniture, spacious kitchen and two showers. With a kitchen and dining room separate from the living room with TV so everyone has a quiet place. Sunny terrace in front of the door.
We had a pleasant stay here. We found the British owner friendly and very helpful.

Great house, very characteristic. Don't expect luxury, but everything you need is there. Lots of privacy, private garden, swimming pool very nice. I must note that it was really not clean. Dusty, lots of cobwebs, maybe not much can be done about that, but a dirty toilet and dirty pans and kitchen utensils, I don't expect that. The owner does not clean himself, but leaves it to the previous holidaymakers (final cleaning). He then checks it himself quite globally. So not enough. But otherwise we really had a nice holiday (after cleaning ourselves a bit). Lovely place and a lot of beauty in the area. Highly recommended, especially for that price. But... bring cleaning supplies!

We have spent the past two weeks in “maison allonnes”. A cute two-person house in the middle of the green. The grounds are surrounded by meadows with horses and sheep. There are several holiday homes on the site, but there is a lot of privacy because you have your own garden or terrace. The cottage itself was part of an old farmhouse and has been refurbished by the owner David and his wife. Because it is an old house, it is a bit dusty. We did not find this to be a problem. Furthermore, there is everything you need including a bbq. David is a very nice man who is always ready to help or arrange something for you. Finally, there is a lovely swimming pool on site for use by all gites. It is a nice swimming pool for young and old. We had two nice weeks.

We were earlier at the cottage but was no problem.
Simple cottage but all essentials are present.
We were the only guests at that time and therefore it was extra quiet and we had the pool to ourselves
. The house owner is a nice Englishman. so communication was in English which was easier for me.
Value for money is excellent so a recommendation
