Luxury Studio Apartment in Californie, Cote d Azur Reviews

The apartment is situated in the Novotel complex in a private residential block with lovely views of the pool area and sea. It was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Peter and Eileen met us at the airport and drove us directly to the apartment, which was quicker and cheaper than booking a transfer or a taxi. Eileen showed us around when we arrived and gave us information about places to eat and visit. There is a large supermarket 5 minutes away and the beach is about 15 minutes away. Guests are able to use the pool free of charge but sunbeds must be booked the day before and there is a charge to use them, although you do get a discount if you use the loyalty card (as well as a discount at the bar and hotel restaurant) which is provided on arrival. Peter and Eileen were very helpful and were located nearby so we knew we could get in touch with them if there was a problem. We also booked our return journey to the airport with them which was again cheaper and quicker than public transport. However in retrospect we would probably not have done this as we arrived at the airport at 11.30am, having vacated the apartment at 11 so it could be prepared for the next guests, but our flight wasn't until 4.30pm, meaning we had a 5 hour wait in the airport with nothing to do! This was the only negative part of an otherwise great holiday.
