The house is very well situated to explore the nearby beaches; there is one a couple of minutes walk away which was fairly secluded and is suitable for swimming when the tide is in. Or you can just sit on the sand and enjoy the view of the sailing boats. There are other lovely beaches a short drive away. We especially enjoyed Kerjouanno which is vast with soft sand and clear sea. Easy to park as well.
From the garden at the property you can watch the tide come in and out over the course of the day. It's very pleasant, especially as there is good garden furniture, including a barbecue. During the summer (we stayed mid August), you can see the sun rise up from the water over the gulf if you are up early enough! At night with no light pollution, the stars are so bright. Inside, the house is clean and well equipped also, we didn't lack for anything. The washing machine and dishwashers were especially useful! With the 2-house layout you could equally be together or apart if you needed some space. Although we didn't see the owner, she was on hand by phone or email and kept in touch after the stay, so very accessible.
Apart from the beaches, we would recommend excursions to Vannes, the castle at Suscinio and certainly to take a boat from Port Navalo to either Locmariaquer or one of the little islands. You can book online in advance. Parking is more tricky at Port Navalo so arrive early and find a side-street as most of the public carparks we saw did not allow much time to stay for the day. There is plenty around to do as much or as little as you want.
We really enjoyed our holiday so would certainly recommend this property and would consider coming back.
