Such a pleasure to sit on the front terrace and look out over the river, at the town and across to Domme. Very serene in the evening, especially with the full moon. During the day, watching the canoes and other boats on the river and listening to the birds overhead was relaxing.

The location of the house is great. There is so much to do and places to visit in the surrounding countryside. Domme, Sarlat, and the many enchanting small towns and villages to explore are just short drives away. La Roque is a lovely village with a great restaurant - La Belle Etoile - make a reservation in advance.

The house itself is very basic and could use some updated amenities and improvements such as better beds and redone bathrooms. The kitchen was acceptable. The major issue is accessibility. It's a walk - uphill - from the place to park and because of that not really appropriate for anyone with mobility issues or for those people who can't manage luggage.

The hosts were great, very helpful and pleasant. This is a wonderful spot for those who want to visit this part of Perigord and for those looking for a place to hike, canoe, etc.
