Beautiful Chalet with Heated Spa / Jacuzzi In Saint Gervais / Megeve Reviews

We stayed in Chalet L'Intervalle for 3 weeks at the beginning of January and had a fantastic holiday. From the moment we placed the booking until after we left, the owner, Peter could not have been better, great communication, helpful and lots of info given.

The chalet has everything you need and is beautifully furnished.

Having a hot tub with lovely views after a long days skiing was the icing on the cake.

It was the first time that we have taken a car to the Alps, however it gives you the opportunity to go easily to many of the great places nearby - Megeve ,Chamonix etc. St Gervais itself is a great town ( not for those looking for a wild time) but with 2 supermarkets, some really nice restaurants (La Galeta was our favourite for the food and lovely service ) plus there is an indoor ice rink and a large indoor swimming pool.

I would definitely recommend a car however we did use the free bus into St Gervais a couple of times, which was very efficient, although not too frequent.

When it had snowed the toads were cleared very quickly and the private road that the Chalet sits on was cleared very helpfully by one of the residents, Olivier, with his tractor. We only had to us snow socks twice, however do take chains or socks as the private road has a small steep bit and when slippy they are needed.

The walks directly from the Chalet were lovely, through the forest, we took our Labrador who loved it and was able go off the lead for most of the time.

Suffice to say we could certainly have stayed longer!
