Sanary, a great family location


A great find, comfortable and well appointed holiday home. Appreciated the dishwasher and the comfortable beds not to mention the high ceilings keeping the place cool in the height of summer. TV room doubles as second bedroom with good quality pull out double futon. Third bedroom on mezzanine, again double bed, open to sounds from downstairs but didn't bother us as we were four adults. Short walk to nearest beach, approx 5 mins, 10 mins in opposite direction to shops and ports. Beach OK but sea dense with plant flotsam essential to local ecology so not removed, you have to wade through it for 10 feet or so. Sea here can be quite rough. Bandol short drive has much nicer beach but less interesting town. Sanary in high season has tourist market every night, music event and other things going on. We thoroughly enjoyed it despite the mossies!
