I have been meaning to email since we got back from our holiday to say what a fantastic house and how much we enjoyed our time at La Vielle Auberge. Anthony did write a long spiel in the visitors book but I just wanted to let you know too.
The house is amazing - you want the walls to talk to you as I imagine there would be some stories to tell! It is very well equipped with all that one could want. We also made very good use of the bikes as it is fantastic countryside for cycling, particularly to Auriac.
The boys loved the lake at Auriac as it was not too busy, had a fantastic inflatable trampoline and slide in the water and also the pedalos/mini golf were incredibly good value at only 2E 60 per person! The beach bar/cafe is also very good value with free WIFI and extremely accommodating staff as Anthony spent an entire day having to work using their WIFI! We also went to Marcillac La Croisille to waterski and the boys had a go at donuting behind the speed boat (huge rubber ring attached to ropes!) I highly recommend the lake as it is only 40 minutes drive and again good value for watersports - we found all the info in Discover Correze which we picked up from the tourist office in St Privat.
I very much hope that we will be back in the future.
