Holiday Gite with Spa - Le Chai, Domaine Gourdon in Esclottes Reviews

Our stay at Jonathan’s place was wonderful. The property is beautifully located among endless vineyards and orchards, and the gold summer sun made every day feel magical.
Jonathan was really friendly and kind, and we felt welcome right away. Maurice (Jonathan’s dog) was also lovely and would come to say hello occasionally.
The area is so peaceful and beautiful, and the local town Duras is small but surprisingly lively, with many events and markets going on. There are plenty of town’s to visit close by, but even going further afield is fun due to the beautiful countryside (one day we drove to Lascaux cave).
A car is essential as it’s about an hour to walk to Duras, and the internet has quite slow upload speeds so working can be difficult. But for a beautiful, slow peaceful trip we can’t imagine anywhere more suited! We are already planning our next trip!
