Willow Cottage/Le Lili is the best self-catering place that we have experienced in France, to the extent that we have returned for the past five years. Jean is welcoming and makes sure that everything is right and we enjoy her animals and birds, quite a menagerie. The cottage, which has its own fully private grounds, is a great base for exploring the region but is also tranquil enough for quiet days by the pool and walks around the village. It is a short drive from the spectacular Cité of Carcassonne and Canal du Midi and convenient to the motorway for trips to Toulouse or the coast; even Spain is only an hour and a half away. And there are many pretty villages in the surrounding mountains. Most highly recommended.
