This fully-equipped, luxury villa in the heart of picturesque Provence will simply take your breath away. Originally an old farm and derelict house, the British owners purchased the property in January 2014. It has now been fully restored into a luxury, 4-bedroom villa with pool, terrace and shared tennis court. Mas des Trois Clefs (literally, "three keys farmhouse") is nestled between young vineyards and has spectacular views of the Ansouis Chateau in front, and the Luberon mountains behind.
It is a 4-bedroom, 4-bathroom, newly renovated farm house with a separate garage. Almost every room in the house has a magnificent view of the famous Ansouis chateau.
Downstairs there is a large dining area in the entrance hall, a spacious lounge with working fireplace, a separate TV lounge, and a laundry room. The kitchen – overlooking the patio, swimming pool and with lovely views of the valley – is a chef's dream, with Smeg stove and oven and wine fridge. A winding staircase leads to the bedrooms upstairs. Two of the double bedrooms are fully en-suite, and the master bedroom has a walk-in dressing room. The other two bedrooms (one twin and one double) share a full bathroom, with a separate toilet.
The house is surrounded by five acres of land, which comprises vines, olives and green oaks. There are over 100 olive trees which are harvested to produce olive oil each November/December. There is a swimming pool in front of the house, with access to a hard tennis court at the bottom of the fields. A water fountain provides the soothing sounds of trickling water. There is plenty of parking within the property, which is accessed via an electric gate. There are also plans for a “boules court” alongside the main drive.
It is in an area of outstanding beauty and the climate is wonderful. From the terrace, which is alongside a 6m x 2m swimming pool and a large shady tree with lawn, you look out over a beautiful valley, with the chateau taking centre stage. There is plenty of very comfortable patio furniture to lounge around on.
The house can be cleaned as needed, while a pool cleaner maintains the swimming pool weekly. There are wall-mounted air-conditioning units throughout, and in winter the house is centrally heated.
From Ansouis it is possible to explore several natural parks like Les Alpilles (in St-Rémy), La Camargue with its wild horses (in Sainte-Marie-De-La Mer), and the Gorges du Verdon park, one of the most beautiful canyon in France. All are only an hour or 90 minutes' drive away.
Other picturesque pillages within a few minutes’ drive include Cucuron, Lourmarin and Vaugine. Aix-en-Provence is less than 30 minutes away and the Aix TGV station and Marseilles Marignan Airport are within an hour’s drive.
