Le Pressoir Gites

Gîte St. Exupéry

This cosy one bedroom gîte is well equipped downstairs and huge and spacious upstairs which make it ideal for couples.
It's furnished tastefully and simply, with bright white walls and oak flooring. It opens on to the garden and pool area where you’ll find your own garden furniture that you can use to rest and relax after a hard day of exploring Normandie and sampling the best it has to offer.

The gardens are communal and each gite has its own lawned area with garden furniture. You'll also find sunloungers next to the heated pool and hot tub - we will supply you with pool towels and pool/hot tub safe glasses so you can sip in safety.

The open plan gîte has retained a lot of its original charm with its creamy stone walls and giant oak beams.
There is a small, well equipped kitchen with oven, hob, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, Tassimo coffee machine, cutlery & crockery and a dining table with two chairs.
The lounge area has a large comfortable sofa, armchair and coffee table, large screen TV with free to air UK channels and free wi-fi plus some original art so you can just sit back and relax in comfort and peace.

An open plan staircase leads up to the huge bedroom and overlooks the pool. 
The proportions of the light filled, spacious bedroom will make you feel like you have truly arrived… and arrived in style. We hope the word that you’ll use as you walk up into this room is “WOW”!

You'll certainly be impressed by its generous proportions and you’ll feel like a VIP as you sink back onto the superking-size, ornate bed, looking up at the impressive beams and out to the sky through the skylight windows.

The soft, subtle colour palette will soothe busy minds and ensure that every moment spent here will be restful and restorative, transporting you to a place where you’ll have a wonderful nights sleep filled with sweet dreams!

There is a wardrobe, chest of drawers, bedside tables, and two stylish chairs, one with a generous footstool for you to stretch out and relax on if you want to sit and read a good book. There is also a large screen TV. A baby cot is also available if needed.

The large, light ensuite bathroom is equipped with an unusual rough limestone basin, a toilet and a large walk in shower with a grohe double headed shower head and you’ll also be provided with plump towels and bathrobes to wrap yourself in.
Both bedroom and bathroom feature original oak beams that complete the French country feel and showcase the origins of this attractive building and they are complimented by new functional ones that give you a sense of the strength and scale of this building.

A laundry room is also available to use if you wish.

Le Pressoir is 40 minutes from the ferry port at Ouistream (Caen) and about an hour from the ferry port at Cherbourg.
Le Pressoir is set in a rural setting but is just 3kms from our local village of Trévières that has two bakeries, two butchers, a small but well stocked supermarket, an artisan cheese shop, pharmacy, cash machine, several electric car charging points and a petrol station (card payment only) and a Friday market.

Historic Bayeux is just a 20 minute drive away with the stunning cathedral, large supermarkets, the famous tapestry, many restaurants and cafés and a lively Saturday market.
The landing beaches are a short drive away, Omaha Beach is our nearest and is about a 10 minute drive.

Gite Molière

Gîte Molière is a spacious 1 bedroom gite, flooded with natural light, furnished cleanly and simply, with oak floors and original art.
Bi-fold doors open on to a lawned area where you can sit, have breakfast of local croissants and fresh coffee, read a book, dine al fresco or have a leisurely glass of wine in the evening.
It has up to the minute facilities and is sympathetically renovated to retain its agricultural heritage with the creamy stone walls and giant oak beams.
The ground floor is open plan which is ideal for couples with it’s two sofas with plenty of room to stretch out, unwind and relax. There is a fully equipped kitchen with oven, hob, dishwasher, fridge, microwave, Tassimo coffee machine, cutlery and crockery and a dining table with 4 chairs.
There is a large screen TV with free to air UK channels and free wi-fi. Plus there is a small downstairs toilet.

Upstairs - The bedroom certainly has the WOW factor! We’ve been told by one guest that sleeping in this bed was “like sleeping on a fluffy cloud” So if you love to have a leisurely lie-in in the morning you’ll be in holiday heaven.
There is a comfy chair and chaise longue for you to stretch out and relax and there is also a large screen TV if you like to keep up with the news or watch a movie.
The en-suite bathroom is equipped with a limestone basin, toilet, bath with waterfall tap and walk in shower and you’ll also be provided with plump towels and a white robe to wrap yourself in. Both bedroom and bathroom feature original oak beams that complete the French country feel and showcase the origins of this attractive building, making it a haven of luxurious peace and quiet.

Gîte Renoir 
This 2 bedroom gite is homely and is furnished cleanly and simply, with oak floors and original art.
It opens on to a lawned area where you can sit, have breakfast, read a book, dine al fresco or simply have a leisurely glass of wine in the evening.
The ground floor is open plan which is ideal for couples and families alike with two sofas and fully equipped kitchen with oven, hob, dishwasher, fridge with freezer tray, microwave, cutlery and crockery and a dining area with a dining table and 4 chairs.
The gîte has a large screen TV with free to air UK channels and free wi-fi.
There is a small downstairs toilet with its own artisan window depicting the church spire in nearby Trévières.

Upstairs is calm and comfortable with beautiful antique french beds in muted tones to ensure a restful ambience. There are two double bedrooms, both are en-suite.
The blue bedroom at the front overlooks the lawned area and has its own mirrored antique armoire, also restored to match the restored antique bedside tables.
However, while the furniture has French antique heritage there are also up to the minute remote controlled blinds and a tv that shows the same channels as the tv downstairs. The French blue tapestry bed is comfortable as well as pretty and will ensure a good nights sleep.
The en-suite has a large walk in shower with either a rain-head or conventional shower head as you can switch between the two depending on which type you prefer.
