The Farmhouse and Barn is a detached property in the quiet hamlet of Logeat in Charente, France. It boasts a large, landscaped and secluded garden with various eating/seating areas and a private swimming pool.
There is plenty of parking to the front of the property and you will need a car to get around the area.
Laveda Farmhouse comprises:
In 2021 we extended the accommodation, which now comfortably sleeps 10. The original farmhouse boasts a master king size bedroom with an en-suite shower room. There are two further bedrooms with twin beds easily convertible into doubles. The large family bathroom has both a walk in shower and full size bath.
On the ground floor you'll find a large open plan dining area plus additional sitting area. La Veda's fully fitted modern kitchen, including dishwasher, has double doors opening on to an expansive- terrace ideal for alfresco dining- and then onto the rear garden and pool areas.
A separate utility room provides you with a washing machine and tumble drier. There is also a downstairs cloakroom. A wide open corridor links the original farmhouse to the newly extended former barn. This houses two further large bedrooms with shower ensuites on the ground floor. On the first floor you'll find a generous open plan lounge as well as further sitting areas. Patio doors lead onto a large balcony overlooking and leading onto the garden.
The reverse living/sleeping arrangement means you can make the most of the views from the first floor, both front and back. Meanwhile the ground floor bedrooms benefit from the thick stone walls to keep these rooms cool on hot summer nights.
Entertainment
There is a video tape/dvd player with tons of tapes/dvds to play including a large selection for kids. There are 2 music entertainment systems plus a Bluetooth speaker system to link to smart phones/tablets.
There are several games and jigsaws plus a small pool table in the barn. There are various garden games plus 4 bikes available to guests to use.
Garden and outside
There is a large garden area plus a seating area close to the pool for relaxing. In addition there are several other seating areas shaded or otherwise for guests to chose from.
There is plenty of space to the front of the property for car parking. The main barn can also be used to park cars in.
A car is reccommended to get the best out of the property, it’s a 15 minute drive to the main town, Montbron, which has bars, restaurants, supermarkets banks etc, or 20 minutes to the very attractive town of La Rochefoucauld which has more restaurants and even larger supermarkets.

The area is rich in history and is studded with fantastic chateaux, churches and abbeys, The chateaux at La Rochefoucauld and Rochechouart are close by.
Limoges is one of the nearest large towns and has a variety of museums including the Adrien Dubouche Museum of Porcelain.
Meteorite Musuem
There are many and varied leisure activities to be found in the area, even beaches and watersports!
Horse riding, karting, canoeing, walking, cycling, tenpin bowling are some of the things you can get up to but whatever you do find time for watching the wildlife and the sky from the garden.
One of the closest sporting attractions is the golf course of Golf de Preze. Just 5 minutes down the road this is a challenging 18 hole course and the bar, terrace and restaurant add great value to a visit.
Special Rental Conditions
available or if that period has already been secured by someone else. A booking will remain
reserved for up to 7 days and will become secured on receipt of both the booking form and the
£200 per week deposit. An email will be sent 5 weeks before the date of arrival reminding
those booking that the balance is payable shortly. An email will be sent as soon as the balance
of the rental has been received confirming the arrival timing and instructions and any
additional information specific to your particular booking. Should you wish to cancel a
booking then to do so up to 5 weeks before your date of arrival will provide a refund of £100
per week, after this time the full deposit will be forfeit.
KEYS, ADDITIONAL SERVICES AND HANDOVER TIMING:
A front door key will be available in a combination key safe. The location of the safe and
combination will be sent by email or text to you at least 5 days before your arrival date.
We utilise the services of a property manager who should be the first point of contact re hand over arrangements and in case of any issues with the property, she can also organise a welcome pack (if requested, cost approx. €50). We will ask you to let us know what your
anticipated arrival (not before 4pm) and departure times (no later than 10am) are but please note that we require a minimum of 6 hours between lettings.
