Large One-bedroom Holiday Gite with Pool, Henansal, Brittany, France - La Boulange

Lesley, Simon, Sam and Evie would love you to come and stay at their fabulous family friendly holiday complex in beautiful Brittany, France. Facilities include heated and covered swimming pools, soft play area and bar. With 5 stars on Tripadvisor, we hope our 7 cottages and 3 lodges will allow you the chance to relax and unwind, sit back with a glass of wine in the summer breeze, whilst the kids play, explore and make friends. Plus there is so much to do in the local area, from fabulous sandy beaches to medieval towns. We hope you will agree that we have come up with an ideal holiday for parents and children. All this just 15 minutes away from the stunning beaches of the Emerald Coast.

We have two types of accommodation at Emerald Coast Gites – Cottages or Lodges.

Our traditional farm cottages have been renovated to a high standard and are open all year round. They have luxurious touches such as robes, slippers, REN products and all the mod cons, like dishwashers, Satellite TV, DVDs and have a homely but contemporary feel.  Our three lodges are open from Easter to end of October. They have large terraces with fab views, wooden floors, equipped kitchen, bathroom, separate WC, two bedrooms, open plan lounges and heating. They too, are equipped with luxury linens, robes, slippers, REN products and have a verandah to the front where you can sit back, chill out with a glass of wine and watch the sun go down. They have a relaxed contemporary feel and we think are the perfect space for you to unwind, enjoy the surrounding countryside and take some much needed R&R.


LA BOULANGE (sleeps 2 – 4)

A large one-bedroom gite with lots of original features and a private terrace suitable for couples and small families.

Downstairs there is an open plan kitchen, living and dining area. There is a flat screen TV with DVD player & Sky box, iPod dock and all mod cons.  The kitchen contains an electric oven, gas hob, dishwasher, microwave, coffee machine and large fridge freezer.   The lounge area contains a sofa which is a pull out bed, and an arm chair and footstool.

The bathroom is also downstairs and there is modern with a bath with shower over, basin with drawer space beneath and a heated towel rail.  There is also a shaver point.

Up the spiral staircase is the large double bedroom which contains antique French furniture and also a large child’s ‘lit bateau’ which can be used as either a cot, a toddler bed or a sofa. Just tell us how you want it made up.

There are stair gates top and bottom and black out blinds in the bedrooms.

The terrace is to the rear of the property and has a dining table, chairs and parasol and a BBQ.

A travel cot can also be provided in this gite if necessary.

This gite regularly sleeps families of 4 with either all in the one bedroom or the kids upstairs and the parents on the sofa bed downstairs.

FACILITIES:

The bar a great place to chat, mingle, meet the other parents. Every week there is a wine and cheese tasting (numbers permitting), galette and crepes are cooked and served, all major sporting events are shown, plus there is a pool table, darts, table football, books and DVDs.

Swimming Pools:
We have two heated swimming pools at La Touche which are open from Easter to the end of October.
The big pool is heated to 28 degrees but is often warmer and the toddler pool is heated to 29 degrees.
Both pools are fenced and covered and located up the steps towards the field. There are lovely views for the parents to enjoy whilst they are supervising the kiddies.

They pool area is covered by a dome, which can open when it is sunny.  However, on a rainy day the pools are still useable as you can stay warm and cosy under the dome in the warm water.  The dome also reflects UVA rays!

The pools are opened at 10am and closed at 9pm, unless of course, there is a moonlit swim arranged, which is always a big hit with the kids and adults alike.  Lesley quite often runs swimming races and other pool games during the moonlit swims.  Parents be prepared for the kids to pinch your fluffy dressing gowns and snuggle up afterwards!

Soft play and terrace:
Whilst the soft play is for the under 10 year olds, the terrace area is a great hang out zone for the kids, with games, DVDs, large TV, Wii and other things going on.  A children’s notice board is hung up at the start of each week with details of the activities Lesley has arranged. These include Movie, Pizza and Popcorn night, moonlit swims, birthday parties, treasure hunts, etc.  All of which are free activities.  There are also details of off-site activities, which are payable locally. These include surfing lessons for over 6 year olds and we quite often do a beach day.

There is free Wifi on the terrace.

Games room:
The bar also doubles as the games room in the daytime, and the children will find (plastic) darts, board games, table football and a pool table available.

Playareas, trampolines, bikes, BMXs and scooters:
There are numerous swings, slides, climbing frames, monkey bars, etc. dotted around the gardens.  Plus we have an enourmous trampoline!  There are also ride-ons, bikes, scooters, BMXs, skateboards and other outside toys available for their use.

Sports equipment:
We have a large field at the property where we often run Lads, Ladettes and Dads football matches, cricket games and volleyball tournaments.  We have all the equipment on site for you to borrow.  Just ask Lesley and she will pull it out for you.
