Chateau du Fraissinet is a pretty country house tucked into a valley on the edge of the wild, mountainous Cevennes National Park. The spacious six acre grounds are great for kids to explore and the river is shallow enough to paddle and fish with nets, with a deeper spot for swimming and inflatable boats.
Relax in the sunshine beside the pool, get to know our friendly donkeys or play table tennis in the shade of the hundred-year-old plane trees, there is lots to do without ever leaving the chateau grounds. But if you fancy a day out then our 'Things to do' page has lots of exciting ideas from visiting the iconic Roman Pont du Gard, to kayaking on one of the area's beautiful rivers.
The Bio-UVC-Ozone Pool:
Rightly the focus of the family holiday, the pool is immensely important. Ours is refilled every year with natural spring water and is a massive hit with holidaymakers of all ages.
Relax on a sun lounger and listen to the cascading water as it tumbles through the rock pools; soak up the sun whilst sitting in the spa pool or simply enjoy a swim in the main pool. You will feel refreshed and rejuvenated by the natural surroundings.
The pool uses the latest technology in water purification treatment to keep chemical use to an absolute minimum so that the water remains as natural as possible. This means water is much gentler on young and sensitive skins.
The pool area is gated and fenced. Children must be accompanied at all times for their and others' safety and security. The main pool measures 11m x 5m x 1.4m and there is a shallow paddling pool for younger children.
Pool opening times 8h - 21h. Adults only 8h -9h30 &19h- 21h
A small, friendly campsite with snack bar is just across the road and our local restaurant, the Auberge du Fraissinet, is a 300m stroll along the river bank. Both are great options for a hassle-free lunch or evening meal.
