Our family of four enjoyed a wonderful stay at Rosie and Carlo's house in Cabrieres d'Avignon. A wonderful property with all the facilities you could need and a fantastic large swimming pool to cool off in, and all situated in the charming village of Cabrieres d'Avignon, which has three restaurants within walking distance, great local shops (baker, butcher, and general store), and even a vineyard at the edge of the town.
All of this and the property is ideally located for exploring the villages and countryside of Provence and the Luberon.
Thoroughly recommended and we'll be back.
We had a lovely stay in Rosie and Carlo's home. We consist of a family of four with children aged 1 and 4 plus one set of grandparents. The house was perfect for us. Three comfortable bedrooms, two bathrooms, a big living room and dining room and a big kitchen that was very well equipped. The house is charming and tastefully decorated and feels like a home. Outside there is a big table where we ate all our meals and sat in the evenings enjoying the warm summer evenings. Cabrieres-d'Avignon is a hidden gem. A picture perfect Provencal town and a lovely walk the 800m's down to the local baker every morning. We initially thought of spending our holiday closer to the sea, but Rosie and Carlo's house could not have been more perfect. With the swimming pool we did not miss or need the sea. We spent time sunbathing and swimming and had all we needed right at our doorstep. We had a car and that is strongly recommended. The whole area is stunningly beautiful. One picturesque village after another and gorgeous scenery. We fell in love with Gordes, Goult and Abbaye de Senanque, as well as Cabrieres-d'Avignon, but also visiting cities like Avignon, Orange and Aix en Provence were well worth a visit.
Rosie and Carlo turned out to be dream hosts. They were so warm and welcoming, ready to assist in case questions, and had written the most extensive and helpful holiday house and area manual we have ever come across.
For us the two weeks were absolutely perfect. The beauty and multitude of the area and a very comfortable and charming house with all you could possibly need.
Rosie and Carlo: Thank you for a wonderful time! We had such a great holiday and really enjoyed meeting you.
On the 28th of July we were warmly welcomed by Rosie and Carlo, the owners of Voix des Cedres. The house is fully equipped, clean and neat, and in nice harmony with the lovely garden (with view!). During the days the pool cooled us down and in the evening is was very nice to use the airconditioning in the bedroom.
Rosie and Carlo helped us very fast and adequate with a few additional needs.
We spend unforgettable evenings on the lovely sheltered patio.
We did not miss any of the highlights of the London 2012 Olympics because of the well equiped tv-set!
Last but not least: Cabrieres d'Avignon is a village from which it is easy to get to all the lovely other places in the Luberon, Avignon, Isle sur la Sorgues etc.
It started with a nice welcome from Rosie who provided us with all the necessary information on the house and the local area along with a plate of olives, cherries and fresh bread.
Our mornings each day consisted of visiting a village then returning home to lounge around the pool then dinner in the lovely alfresco area.
This house was perfect for our family (two teenage daughters).
We would love to visit again soon but for longer!
We would highly recommend Voix des Cedres for a holiday in Provence. The location is excellent - close to the main attractions of this beautiful area but off the tourist trail. The village is very attractive, quiet, and has good basic shops. Plus, of course, the local markets offer wonderful Provencal produce.
The house is very comfortable, well looked after and well appointed, especially the kitchen which is a treat for any cook. Walking and biking trails are accessible from the house, so this really is a place where you can relax, forget about the car and immerse yourself in Provence.
Rosie and Carlo are extremely hospitable. They are ready to answer any questions you may have whilst leaving you space to make your own discoveries. We enjoyed a blissful fortnight here and were truly sorry to leave.
We cannot recommend highly enough this beautiful Provencal holiday home. We arrived at the villa to find fresh bread, fruit, olives, milk and a bottle of wine. Rosieand Carlo are extremely thoughtful, and this was in evidence throughout our stay. They have provided a comprehensive'holiday' file, with recommendations for restaurants, activities, market days etc. We didn't have to think too hard about how we were going to spend our days, all the information we needed was provided.
Their house is tastefully decorated, very, very comfortable and on lazier days it was a pleasure to hang around the pool... such hardship!!
The villa is in a beautiful and peaceful location and yet within walking distance of the charming village of Cabrieres d'Avignon. We highly recommend this property and would love to return for another holiday.
We would highly recommend this accomodation for a superb holiday. It was secluded yet close to restaurants and a beautiful village. Property was of an excellent standard, great pool and all the extras we needed. The owners were very welcoming and helpful also. It was our first time in Provence and we plan to return. Thanks for a great holiday!
After trying a lot of other locations we finally found the perfect place to spend our family summer vacation. The house is exactly as nice as the fotos show. Large garden, very comfortable and spacious house and the pool, all carefully kept by Rosie and Carlo.
The house is located at the margin of the beautiful historical village Cabrieres d'Avignon, close to the cedar woods. Beautiful sight at the Luberon Mountains. The village offers everything needed for daily life, good restaurants, a minimarket, a butcher and a boulangerie.
We will definitely come back, most of all because of the generous hospitality of Rosie and Carlo.
