This magnificent charming guest house with limewashed walls is located on the edge of a village 12 minutes from Carcassonne in the Aude, between the Canal du Midi and the Montagne Noire. Lots of softness in this old winegrower's house with delicate colors. A beautiful row of Gustavian-style lounges with large openings looks directly onto the park planted with Mediterranean species. And whether it is the reception rooms, the terraces, the bedrooms (those to the south), the infinity pool, everywhere the view of the Aude plain and the Pyrenees mountain range works its magic and invites you to relax.
After the children left, Monique and Paul-André completely restored La Rougeanne, with two bedrooms in the old wine cellars; spacious, with high windows, they have been decorated with great care and have children's areas, ideal when traveling as a family. The other two, "Acanthe" and "Jasmin", opening onto a small enclosed garden, were created more recently. More modern, ivory and pearl gray, they have open bathrooms and a lounge area. Absolutely charming and perfect for a romantic vacation. The fifth bedroom "Olivier" is located upstairs, near the terrace, and is particularly suitable for families with young children. Monique and Paul-André will be happy to welcome you to the Aude in their guest house "La Rougeanne" during your stay in Cathar country.

The Olivier room is located on the first floor of the house, near the terrace which offers an exceptional view of the entire Pyrenees mountain range. It is a location that is both central in the house and very preserved. The space has been designed to respect everyone's privacy. A part for the parents, tastefully decorated, a space for the children with pretty antique furniture to their size. Treated with both simplicity and refinement, this room is bright and spacious, it benefits from the morning sun to the east and from the view of a delightful garden and the village bell tower to the north.
You will be in the city of Carcassonne in no time, let your imagination fly in the towers of the castle, lose yourself in the medieval streets, dominate the city from the top of the walls, and relax on a terrace while sipping a drink.
