La Maison can accommodate 6 guests plus 1 baby. On the ground floor it enjoys a large welcoming sitting room with comfortable setees and armchairs. You’ll also find a wood burner in the original fireplace. A separate dining room has a table and chairs for 8 guests. The kitchen is fully-equipped with all modern conveniences designed to make your stay as comfortable as possible. On the first floor, there are 3 bedrooms. Bedroom 1 has a king-size bed, Bedrooms 2 and 3 are fitted with 2 single beds each. We can also provide another foldable single bed in one of these twin-bedded rooms if required. There are also cots available. There is one bathroom which comprises of bath tub, with a shower over it, WC and washbasin.
Outside there is a 12 metre x 6 metre swimming pool which is fenced and fitted with a child-proof gate. There is a large well established, child-friendly garden.
This wonderful area of the Dordogne is acclaimed for its cuisine. We can recommend several excellent good value restaurants in the immediate area. The surrounding countryside is ideal for walking, cycling, horse riding, and there are numerous paths and tracks to follow too.
Brantome on the Dronne River is ½ hour away – here you can hire a canoe and take in the beautiful scenery for which Brantome is famed. The local caves at Villars are 10 minutes away.
La Maison is situated in the small hamlet of Vieille Abbaye, in the ‘Parc Naturel’ Perigord/Limousin.
