La Fontaine Sylvie - Beautiful Stone Barn with Private Pool in Savigne sous le Lude, Sarthe

4 bedroom barn conversion set in tranquil countryside with large private pool. The property has been Classified 3 Stars and is nestled in glorious countryside, only a 5 minute walk from the village of Savigne sous le Lude with a bar/restaurant/shop offering freshly baked bread and croissants daily. There is also an excellent large supermarket 10 - 15 mins drive away in Le Lude.

La Fontaine Sylvie is close to the market towns of Le Lude, La Fleche and Bauge. The larger chateaux towns of Saumur, Angers and Tours are only 45 minutes away by car and the famous 'Wine Trail' will take you on a tour through acres of vineyards offering many varieties of wine to taste and purchase.

The Accommodation:

The barn conversion has retained many of its original features including the large exposed timber roof trusses, stone walls and oak floors and has been thoughtfully furnished and equiped in order to provide you with a comfortable and relaxing stay.

The large airy downstairs entrance hall with double glazed sliding doors leads to two charming double bedrooms and a pretty twin. The fabulous bathroom is fitted with a bath, shower, w.c., pedestal basin and baby bath. The utility room has a washing machine, w.c. and hand basin.

A open tread staircase (with child safety gates) leads to a spacious living area with its original oak floor and roof beams. It is stylishly furnished around a large wood burner. The dining area next to the fully fitted and well equiped kitchen, seats 8 people comfortably.

A further seating area leads to a lovely country style master bedroom with a King size bed and an adjoining large bathroom with bath, shower, w.c. and pedestal basin.

The access door from the kitchen area opens to a patio, an enclosed garden and a gate leading to the field.

Outside:

The 9m x 4.5m pool, for use by both properties, is located in a gated walled garden with a stone BBQ, sun loungers, tables and chairs. The open summer barn has a small snooker table, table tennis table and a useful playpen for young children. Please note, pool towels are not supplied.

The shady gardens have ample garden furniture, another stone BBQ and a gazebo for outdoor eating. The attractive gardens and pool area are illuminated at night for BBQ's and dining outside.

To the side of the property there is a mown field which is fully fenced and securely gated. This area is ideal for children to run and play in complete safety.

The rural area around La Fontaine has many narrow lanes and tracks that see very little traffic which makes them ideal for walking, jogging or cycling. We have 2 adult bikes available for you to use. There is a tennis court a few minutes away and we provide raquets and balls. The nearby town of La Fleche has recently opened a new complex with a large soft play activity centre, bowling alley and a new indoor water complex which is close to a large lakeside beach with safe bathing for children.
