Kermarc'h includes 4 individual gites with availability and pricing varying based on the season. All guests have access to the shared heated pool (open May - September) and grounds including play structure and bocci/petanque/breton bowling court.

Cottage
Ideal for 1-3 people, the Cottage is a cozy, self-sufficient space with its own kitchen, bathroom, and sitting area.
In peak season the Cottage is only rented in combination with the Farmhouse. The Cottage is available as a separate unit during the rest of the year.

Built in the 1750's and only available during peak season, the Farmhouse is a fully equipped family home in the rustic style of central Brittany. It is rented in combination with the adjoining Cottage.

Fort-la-Latte or Castle of La Latte is a castle located about 4 km southeast of Cap Fréhel and about 35 km west of Saint-Malo, in the commune of Fréhel, Côtes-d'Armor, Brittany, France. It is a famous tourist attraction on the Cote d'Émeraude in the northeast of Brittany. This impressive castle was built on a small piece of land at the Baie de la Fresnaye in the 13th century.

There is a riding school at Glomel for five years old and upwards with 20 horses and ponies with lessons and treks from 1 to 3 hours. Kreiz Breizh horse and carts at Lanrivain by appointment horse and cart rides, treks through nature and old villages 1 ½ to 2 ½ hours.

Guerlédan Riding school near the lake from 5 years old. 26 horses and ponies, lessons, 1 to 3 hour treks. Instruction by a former French show jumping champion.

• Cycling

The local area is ideal for bike riding with many small quiet country lanes to explore. Cycle along the tow path of the Nantes/ Brest canal or from Carhaix to Loudeac passing by Lac Guerlédan you can now cycle along the 111 kilometre long consolidated sand trail following the tracks of the old railway line.If you want to leave the track there are 24 round trips which vary in length from 4 ½ to 16 ½ km.

• Fishing

You can buy a day ticket and fish for rainbow trout or brown trout in the lakes at Corlay and Beaucours at Saint Nicolas du Pelem which are both only five minutes from Kermarch or 15 minutes from Lustruyen.Other permits for river fishing are available in the Bar/Tabac at Saint Nicolas du Pelem.

There are lots of golf courses in Brittany . Under an hour away are:

Golfe de Boisgelin at Plehedel-Lanvollon (18 hole/par 67)

Henry IV at Rostrenen

Plenty of places to eat well near both the Kermarch and Lustruyen sites.
We can highly recommend for a really nice evening out in delightful surroundings overlooking a lake with excellent food the Auberge Pellinec at Canihuel. The top menu at 34 Euros starts with langoustine and lobster salad , followed by sole with rice and vegetables, then filet steak with fois gras, cheese and a dessert from the menu.

If seafood is top of your agenda then try the Henry IV at Rostrenen. Depending on your appetite you can order a plate of seafood (fruits de mer) or the larger platter as well as the extensive a la carte menu and set menus. Great food at reasonable prices.

In the centre of Rostrenen tucked in the corner near the church is Le Kumquat pizza restaurant, freshly baked and delicious but get there early or book as always very busy.

Sample of a lunchtime menu for the week at a nearby restaurant that welcomes children. Meals include a bottle of wine and water on the table and bread and butter. The cost is around 10 Euros (£7) Children under 5 free and between 5 and 10 its 5 Euros.

• Markets

The nearest is at Rostrenen on a Tuesday morning with the main part near the church but dotted along the side streets. Lots of different general stalls, food, plants clothes etc and also live chickens/turkeys and ducks.

• Beaches and watersports

The largest lake in Brittany, Lac Guerlédan is close by (15 mins)and offers all types of watersports including sailing, canoe:kayak, water skiing, pedalos, swimming, fishing, boat trips etc.as well as sandy beaches and restaurants. Lake Guerledan is being drained in Spring/Summer 2015. This is the first time for a number of years and you will be able to walk around the old slate quarry and village buried beneath the lake.

The coast is 40 minutes away with some of the best beaches such as Pléneuf-Val-André and Erquy under an hour. Perros- Guirec,Tregastel and Ploumanach on the pink granite coast are between 1 ¼ - 1 ½ hours away.

Pets are allowed in Madeleine and Marie for an additional fee but are not allowed in the Cottage and Farmhouse.
