GOOD
Small problem on arrival, television in English, fridge set to 15 degrees, water heater off. Electric meter protection not up to standard. After putting everything back in order it was fine....

Top stay at Villa Fougères
Villa Fougères is very well equipped for two families with older children. The setting is very green, relaxing and has a very pretty swimming pool. "Amazing"! Very well located, easy access to the city center and the lake. We had a great vacation, with many excursions to Biscarosse, Arcachon, the Dune of Pilat, and Bordeaux! Activities: cycling, walking along the lake, canoeing, adventure park, not to mention the villa's swimming pool! In short, a place to remember to come back! Thanks to Teresa & Charles

Beautiful villa and enjoyable stay
We had a very enjoyable stay at Villa Fougeres. The pictures don’t do it justice - the villa is very spacious and the pool a good size. We loved the setting at the edge of a pine forest too. We found the location close to the lake to be very convenient. The villa is well equipped and we enjoyed cooking on the barbecue several times. The only very minor niggle was having to bring our own bed linen and towels as this took up a lot of space in our car - so it would be great if that could be provided - but that was clearly stated in the property particulars so we did know this when booking but decided to go ahead anyway as the villa looked so nice. All in all a great stay - and thanks to Anne-Sophie for an efficient check in and out.

Quiet place
Our stay went well, except for the use of the pool. Indeed, during our 15-day stay, we never had suitable water, due to a lack of professional maintenance. Despite all the efforts of Anne Sophie, who was unable to remedy the problem... We were very disappointed by the quality of the pool, and were unable to use it every day due to the water quality. In this case, the amount for this villa is too expensive.

Stay in Sanguinet
There are plenty of outdoor activities in the area, whether by and on the lake and by the seaside. There are aqua parks, play parks and a zoo nearby. Arcachon is about a 40 minute drive away with some very lovely restaurants also some activities for smaller children on rainy days, Bordeaux about an hour away and you can visit the Sauternes vineyards in just over an hour. Saint Emillion takes a little longer (traffic dependent around Bordeaux) but well worth the effort. About ten minutes from the house there are three restaurants, three cafes, three boulangiere and an Intermarche. You can walk to the lake in 15 minutes, lots of good cycle/walking/running tracks and three more restaurants. The local square has markets twice a week and lots more of events in the summer weeks. Local people very friendly and welcoming.
