A 3 bedroomed, self catering holiday house with a separate 1 bedroom apartment situated 15 minutes away from St Jean d'Angely.
This large 3 bedroom house is situated in beautiful tranquil countryside just a short drive from the village of Aulnay de Saintonge, just 7 minutes away, with all amenities including the historic church which is a World heritage site. There is also a public swimming pool, supermarket and shops. Be sure to visit the market in the square on Sunday's.
The entrance hall/dining room leads to a large well equipped kitchen. Across from this is the lounge which features a wood burning stove The hall/dining room and lounge have high ceilings with beams.
The downstairs bathroom has large walk in shower, wash basin and toilet. Upstairs, there are two double bedrooms and a larger room with single beds. Another shower room with basin and toilet is also upstairs.
The child friendly enclosed garden, leads to another garden with swimming pool. The outside space is ideal for relaxing and al fresco dining. Relaxing in the garden you might see deer, wild boar or red squirrels. A family of partridges have been known to stay in the adjacent garden! Both gardens give plenty of space to relax, sunbathe or enjoy a Barbeque.
The apartment (SEE REF 3004) :
The apartment is attached to the owners house just outside the small village of La Villedieu. There is a double bedroom with views on two sides of the beautiful countryside
The large lounge / dining room has a sofa bed which sleeps two, and two armchairs. There is a balcony overlooking the garden, where you can eat, drink or just look at the stars.
The spacious kitchen is well equipped with cooker, fridge, washing machine and microwave. It has a large window overlooking the fields, where you might spot some of the local wildlife. Visitors have seen wild boar, deer and many birds including partridge and pheasant in the field and woods beyond.

A family day out to the Valley of the monkeys is a must. Here you can walk among them and watch them play.
The famous zoo at Palmyre is one of the best in Europe.
