Holiday Gite with Pool, just for 2 in the heart of the Charente, France

This lovely Gite, formerly a barn situated in the grounds of our Charentaise farmhouse has been restored to provide a unique Gite - just for couples. The theme is French with just a hint of the Orient.

The area is ideal to relax and unwind - Our guests can go for leisurely walks, explore the local countryside on bike, or go swimming in our heated pool.

Alternatively, you may decide to just relax with a glass of wine and dine al-fresco in the large, private enclosed garden complete with covered terrace.

The Gite looks out onto fields and woodland beyond.

ACCOMMODATION:

The ground floor consists of a spacious lounge/diner and kitchen with an original oak beamed ceiling. An open-tread staircase leads to a large, heavily beamed bedroom. There you will find a king-size bed with en-suite shower room.

The Gite is fully equipped with a wood burner and electric wall mounted heaters, English satellite TV/ DVD and CD player. Wi -Fi is also available. There is an extensive library of books, DVDs, CDs and board games too. The Gite also has an IPod docking station so you can listen to your favourite tunes.

The kitchen is full equipped with microwave, cooker, fridge and washing machine. There is also all the equipment you would expect and a little bit more.

Outside on the covered terrace you'll find a patio table and chairs and barbecue.

In the private garden,there are sun loungers, a hammock and another table and chairs to chase the sun.

There is also a table-tennis table near the 'pool and bikes are also available to use free of charge.

An 8 x 4m heated swimming pool with Roman steps and security fence is situated near to the main house.

You are welcome to use this at any time although we put a solar cover on at night time to retain the heat. The pool is open from April to the end of September.
