These charming and child friendly Aquitaine holiday rental cottages are ideally situated on two hectares of private land with a swimming pool in the Dordogne region of France, within easy reach of the picturesque village of Saint Julien de Lampon which boasts two bakeries, two groceries, a post office, a pharmacy, a bank, a pub and several restaurants.

The accommodation of our Sainte-Mondane holiday gites comprises of spacious and tastefully furnished living areas, equipped with all modern comforts such as washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator, 4-burner gas hob, coffee machine, free Wifi, kettle and colour satellite TV with perfect reception of all English channels. The Gites have beautiful beamed ceilings, with wooden and tiled floors. The bedrooms have excellent beds. A cot and high chair can be provided if required. The beds have duvets and linen, towels, flannels, kitchen towels and tea towels are provided. Shower and toilet are on the upper floor. The houses all have a sunny terrace with sitting area and barbecue.

In addition to the gites, there is a beautifully built detached chalet. This chalet can accommodate up to 6 people and has the same comfort as the other homes. Shower and toilet are on the ground floor. This chalet has the added feature of a covered terrace.

The grounds of Hameau du Soleil boast a large swimming pool, around the heated pool there is a large terrace, where you can relax or sunbathe The pool is securely fenced and child friendly. Other activities guests could enjoy are badminton, volleyball and table tennis. There is plenty of space to play football, and for the younger guests there are swings, a sandpit and a climbing frame.

"Hameau du Soleil" is located centrally in the triangle of Sarlat, Souillac and Gourdon and would make the ideal base for exploring the numerous beautiful small villages such as St. Cirq Lapopie, the pilgrimage town of Rocamadour and the beautiful village of la Rouge Cologne. Or perhaps visit Les Milandes Castle which was made famous by Josephine Baker.
