Fantastic & relaxing stay. Highly recommend!
Me and my Partner had an amazing stay at La Souqueto. John and Mel were great hosts with a ton of local knowledge. The house and rooms are clean, beautifully decorated and situated in a lovely village. There is loads of parking right outside the property so no stress getting there and settling in. Had a great time exploring a very authentic area of south France away from the tourists.

Canal Du Midi stay
We had an amazing stay with Jon & Mel, firstly in the B & B which is beautifully decorated & then in the apartment which is extremely well stocked for a family of 4. Jon skippered us on the Bella Mia & we had an amazing 4 days on the canal, stopping for luxurious lunches, culminating in conquering the Fonserannes locks. Thank you. It was a magical stay & would thoroughly recommend anyone staying here. Jon is an amazing front of house host.

Memorable experience
My wife and I experienced an amazing time with Mel and Jon. Our stay with them has been the best we have had.The moment we arrived we were warmly welcomed and introduced to their home. Our room was beautifully furnished, the bed wonderfully comfortable and the shuttered windows opened to tree tops beyond the neighbouring roof tops. Delicious breakfasts were served in the communal dining and living area (which boasted a glass covered Roman well). We had the pleasure of the company of other travelers, talking about our very different love's and adventures. We included a two night Canal du Midi trip to Beziers on their classic family's "Gentleman's Cruiser", the Bella Mia. If you would like some slow pace in your life this is the way to do it. A huge warm welcome and delightful meals
Our hosts were so helpful; when we arrived it turned out that the nearby restaurant was closed so Jon & Mel prepared the most delicious evening meal for us. A lovely place to stay and only a 20 minute walk form the Canal du Midi along which we were walking.

La Souqueto
Had a most wonderful stay at La Souqueto. We were warmly welcomed despite our lateness and Mel had even prepared a light supper for us which we gratefully devoured! Beautifully and tastefully decorated house. Spacious bedroom overlooking the rooftops great shower and delicious breakfast! They had ample knowledge of the local area and beyond and Jon took us on their boat Bella Mia for a 2 hour pleasurable cruise! Mel & Jon couldn't do enough for us! I never felt so at 'home'! Wish we stayed longer!

La Souqueto highly recommended!
We stayed 2 nights with boating expedition on the Canal du Midi both days. My mother, daughter and I could not have been more pleased with both our accommodations and the high point: a tour on the hotel’s beauty of a boat. My mother is 91 and not as agile as she’d like- so this was perfect. We enjoyed perfect hosts and tasteful and homey surroundings, lovely lunches at canal side restaurants

Highlight of our trip!
Jon and Mel are great hosts. The room was comfortable and beautiful and the breakfasts were great. My husband and I arrived with no set itinerary and Jon and Mel pointed us in a great direction each morning. They highlighted the best places to go on rainy days so we were never stuck for somewhere to wander because of the weather. Because of their expertise, we saw beautiful sights and ate wonderful food at restaurants we never would have found on our own. Thank you Jon and Mel, we can't wait to visit you again

Fantastic apartment within a gem of a B&B
We stayed a week in La Souqueto’s Tastefully styled apartment.
Jon & Mel are such lovely hosts.
They recommended some lovely restaurants and gave us some valuable information on the local area.
We also spent time on Bella Mia their beautiful classic boat- on the canal-du-midi which Is a must do! To experience the canal du midi- and it’s pretty canal side villages.

We will definitely be returning!

Lovely B&B
We booked two rooms in this lovely B&B for 3 nights. Jon and Mel were brilliant hosts and recommended some places to visit and helped us find some amazing local restaurants. We had a lovely few days exploring the area. We will try and come back for a wine tour!
